Monday. Monday. God, I hate Mondays. Not because of school, but because of Jessica Skeen. Jessica Skeen is the definition of irritating. All she does is blab blab blab about nothing of my interest. Somehow, she is one of the most popular girls in school. I have to be in four of the same classes as her, and in half of them we sit together. In Period 1 (math), Period 4 (science), Period 5 (band), and Period 8 (history) is when I have to see her. For some reason, she thinks I am her best friend or something, and I think I will make it clear, today, that I want nothing to do with her...
"Oh, Larissa! Howdy you do? Get it! Like how do, but instead howdy," she excitedly speaks in a horrifying Western accent so loud it hurt my ears. "Why aren't you wearing your cowgirl clothes? Remember, it's cowgirl day!" I shrug. "Is something wrong? You seem blue," she continues with the Western voice. "I'm fine." She blinks about a million times and then repeats, "You seem blue." Anger arises inside of me. She makes me so angry and irritated. She is so repetitive. "For the last time, I am fine. Now stop worrying about me and instead about your own business." I don't notice it until I finish talking, but she has already turned around and has a depressed look on her face. "I'm s-" I attempt to apologize for being a little too harsh, but I am interrupted by the teacher. "Welcome! Yawn all you want, but you will not go to sleep in my class no matter how tired you are. Sit down this instant, Larissa Ayers." Great, Mrs.Jansen, the worst substitute in the whole entire universe. I sit down in my seat next to Miss Popular, not because I want to, but because I have to...
I finally finished Period 1. I almost didn't make it alive because of Jessica Skeen. The next three periods were okay, since you-know-who wasn't there. However, I was in Period 4, with Jessica Skeen, when the new kid came, so I got switched seats. I then sat by the new kid, and I learned her name was Irene. She seems super friendly, but not as energetic as Jessica Skeen. Hopefully, Irene and I will become great friends for the whole year. I start to think that I should forget about Jessica because I can't have her ruin my whole year. Sure, she is annoying, but maybe I should learn to ignore her, I think. Since I am an only child, I never got the skill of ignoring someone. The bell makes the ding sound I hear every day, and it's time for lunch. Back to the thing about Jessica, I am not going to let my whole life revolve around her.
