Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Someone continuing to text me wakes me up. But who? I grab my phone without looking at it and lift up my head to read it. About 100 texts... from La'rissa? All they say is help, help, help. She must... really need me. The texts continue. I look through my window and see a face that's not La'rissa's poking through her bedroom window. It looks like... Irene?

I run downstairs and grab my coat, and I start to run through the door in my pajamas when my little brother asks, "Where are you going out this late?" I look at him for a second. "It's an emergency, just lock the door and don't let anyone in." He blinks a million times, it's something we do in our family. "Not even you?" I shake my head. "Not even me." I bust through the door in my black, long coat. I sprint across the street to La'rissa's house, not even caring about the car that passed by just after I crossed the street. I went up to her gray home and knocked on the door. No answer. I quickly knock on the door. Nothing. I wait fifteen seconds and decide I don't really care. I attempt to open the door, but it's locked. A scream, a scream that probably the whole world could hear. Karate, remember, you were a blue belt. I kick the window to the right of the door and it breaks. I climb over it and go through. I will pay for that, I think to myself.

When I get in, all I hear is a faint scream, coming from the bedroom to the left of me. I run into the room, seeing Irene with partly gray skin. She is looking under the bed... talking to someone. I search under the bed and see La'rissa being grabbed by Irene. She was passed out, probably fainted. I run over to Irene and kick the back of her head. She observes me for a bit, and then just goes back to pulling fainted La'rissa from out of under the bed. I kick her again, harder. This time, Irene, or it, grunted in pain and got up. "So, you're here too," it slowly says in a haunted voice. She tackles me to the ground and put her sharp fingernails into my skin. I scream in pain. Why didn't La'rissa phone the police instead of me? Anyway, I must save La'rissa, to apologize for all of the times I made her have the worst days all because of me and my personality.

I claw its face and it jumps off of me. A sudden feeling of anger rushes through me like a shock from electricity. I hop backward to get away from it and I shield myself with my hands.

My body gets hot, burning hot. Everything around me swirls and jumps. My stomach twists and turns. My outfit turns into something cinnamon red and some strawberry ice cream pink. Wait. You're not in Candy Land Jess, get back to real life! Suddenly I blurt, " LOVE AND ANGER," and boom, I stare at the shield around me, it looks like...like...like a powerful shield of fire just swarming around me. I feel invincible.

Ouch! I feel stabs in my back. One after another, Irene's fingernails scratch me. I use my fire to burn her skin. Somehow, my fingernails get longer, like little knives. No, that was impossible. But that's what I saw.

I chose to claw her back, so that's exactly what I do. After I clawed her I took several steps back in my fear. Then, I saw what looked like a total freak. I saw the strangest and the freakiest thing I've ever seen, red glowing eyes, half metal face, was this Irene? I hear a strange evil laugh coming from it. " You think you can defeat me, rug rat?" Irene said. This wasn't Irene's voice... The voice sounded like a monster robot. So creepy. The whole situation was. "Ah durr, anyone could of. You think you're so strong, think again." Did I just say that out loud? Oh no, I did. I'm dead. I think about all the things Irene could do to me, the ways she can kill me, hurt me, my family, anyone and everyone. I could sense Irene's anger arise enormously high.

Suddenly I start to feel hot, so hot, again, but this time, it's my hands that are hot. I feel my hand raising up, then a cinnamon colored flame shoots across the room headed for Irene. I observe a blazing line of fire going the speed of light. It smacks Irene in the face and circles around her and then around her. A black gust of wind flew from her mouth and she fell to the ground, her skin turning back to normal and her hair the beautiful jet black it was before.

And the wimpy, sensitive, too friendly crybaby, Jessica Claire Skeen, just did THAT!
