The next day, Princess Saffron of Tangu had something new of her own: her mother's ruby necklace. Sultana Hildegard received this necklace from her mother as a child, and now she's passed it down to Saffron.
"It used to belong to my grandmother," Saffron smirked. "She gave it to Mother, and Mother gave it to me."
"It's really nice, Saffron," Alicia grinned.
"I know," Saffron said haughtily.
"It's a real heirloom," Prince Robin remarked. But then, a certain girl caught his eye.
Sabrina and her brothers arrived at the entrance, and Sabrina was wearing her new gown.
"Wow, Sabrina look at you," Robin gasped. He ran over to see her.
Everyone gasped when they saw Sabrina, and they all ran over to her, ignoring Saffron. Saffron was surprised that everyone was paying attention to Sabrina and not her. She went over to see what the fuss was about.
"Wow, Sabrina, I love your dress," Melody smiled.
"Thank you," Sabrina smiled.
"Where did you get it?" asked her cousin Kerry.
"It was my mother's," Sabrina replied.
"That was Aunt Sofia's?" asked her cousin Prince Michael. "She sure was gorgeous as a child, and she still is."
Saffron saw Sabrina's new dress, and she was amazed by how beautiful it was.
"It's the prettiest dress I've ever seen," Alicia smiled.
Everyone was gushing over how beautiful Sabrina looked in her new gown. She really did look beautiful, and that made Saffron very jealous.
Saffron saw her friends Fiona and Cora—Michael's twin sister—and went over to them. "Cora, have you noticed that everyone pays so much attention to your cousin?" she asked Cora.
"My cousin?" Cora asked. She didn't know which one Saffron was talking about, so she turned to the other students, who were huddled around Sabrina. "Oh, you mean Sabrina," she realized.
"Yes, and I have a pretty new necklace that once belonged to my Grammy, but everyone likes her pretty new dress more," Saffron pouted.
Cora saw Sabrina in her new dress. She was a little green with envy herself, but she did her best to fight it. "Wow, she really is pretty," she remarked.
"Yea, and she's always getting so much attention," Saffron pouted.
Fiona wanted to help Saffron feel better. "Maybe you can join a club that Sabrina isn't in—or you can start one," she suggested.
Saffron liked that idea. "What kind of club?" she asked.
"You like astronomy," Fiona told her. "You can start an astronomy club."
"That's perfect!" Saffron beamed. "I'll start a Royal Astronomy Club!"
"We can be your first members," Cora offered.
Saffron really liked this. Since she is the founder of the club, everyone in it would have to pay attention to her.
