Mates

It was a wonderful season in the sea. Corals were bright with colors, clams and crabs were abundant and the water seemed happy. Why? It was laying season.
Merformer couples were swimming side by side laughing or smiling happy for the season that was so close. Though many merformers were still looking for mates and some already had hatching or pups it was still a happy season.

Hatchings.

What a wonderful word. The dark female thought. Pups sounded just as wonderful.
Buzzkill was laying on her stomach up on a high cliff watching other merformers swim around beneath her. The water wasn't cold but it wasn't hot either, it was perfect. Her fins were waving side to side softly and her chin rested on her hands which were folded on the cliff below her. "To be a Carrier." She whispered looking at a group of females who clearly were with hatchlings. The dark female frowned, no wonder they were carrying hatchlings. They were beautifully, bight in colors and their fins were perfect. "To be beautiful..." the dark shark mer sighed sadly.

"But you are beautiful." A voice said behind her making her jump slightly. Turning her head as her scarred tail swayed side to side she saw Soundwave and Shockwave. The female sighed and turned her head as her fins dropped.

"No, Im not." She said tilting her head to the side squishing her cheek. "Have you seen those females. There gorgeous!" The males seemed to sadden at her words. Both swimming beside her and laying next to her as she gazed down at different merformers.
"They are lucky, Primus has granted them gifts but I doubt half of them really want hatchlings." She commented. "Hatchlings are special. And seeing them grow into pups and older is amazing." She whispered sadly.

"They are." Shockwave agreed. He squinted both of his eyes but only one shines brightly. "Finding a female or male like you is lucky I must say." The female jerked her head up as her fins flared up in embarrassment.

"W-why do to say that?" She asked.

"You have a big heart." Shockwave sighed calmly not looking over to her.

"That can be hard to find. Especially after the war." Soundwave said quietly looking down at the female. She seemed to stop and think before smiling.

"Yes....I suppose so." She grinned signing softly. "But finding a suitable mate is impossible." She said sadly her tail flicking angrily. "Knockout has Breakdown, Bulkhead has Wheeljack, Rodimus has Ultra Magnus, Tarn has Pharma and there's more. Even you two!" She cried out in anger. "What am I to do?" She sighed putting her face in her arms. Shockwave looked over her to Soundwave tiling his head slightly, Soundwave nodded looking down at the femme and smiled slightly at her.

"And what of Megatron?" He asked softly chuckling when her fins straightened.

"H-he's great..." She whispered in her arms her fins hearing up in embarrassment.

"Would you take him as a mate?" Shockwave asked grinning at her actions.

"M-maybe...."

"Buzzkill." Soundwave sighed. The female lifted her head to the male. "Is he suitable?"

"Y-yes....he is." The female sighed her cheeks heating up. "To me at least." Chuckling came from both males as the each patted her head.

"Then that solves your troubles." Shockwave grinned swimming away with Soundwave. Buzzkill's face was on fire as she watched them swim away understanding what they meant. Hearing a voice being cleared behind her she turned wide eye with her fins straightening. But she calmed seeing who it was, leaning on her elbow she grinned.

"I feel as if I was set up. I wonder why?" She grinned her sharp teeth flashing.

"It wasn't a set up." Megatron said softly swimming up to the dark female hovering almost over her. Buzzkill looked up at him her tail swaying side to side happily, turning to lay in her back she smiled at him.
