She closed her eyes and screamed. "Why are you punishing me?" She heard a whisper, she opened her eyes. In front of her, she saw a bright light, it dimmed into 3 figures, 2 that were familiar and one, that wasn't. She stared at the light and it dimmed even more, now she could she faces. "Daddy? Daniel?" It was them! She ran towards them, they disappeared. She looked around, closed her eyes again and they came back. She found it really hard not to run and jump on them but she resisted because she didn't want them to go away. She still couldn't see who the last person was. She concentrated really hard. He was tall and perfect. No wounds, no cuts, no grazes, not a scratch on him. He walked towards her and put his hand on her shoulder, he had a fatherly touch. He was gentil and kind. He knew who She was. It's must have been god, she thought. "Billy," he said to her. "Yes father." "Why are you sad child?" She knew that he already had the answer, but she replied anyway. "Why did you let this happen? Why did you let them die? Why is there so much pain in the world. Why can't people see how precious the reef is?" "I gave people free will to do what they want. To choose me or to choose evil." "I choose you god." God looked at her. "I know you do Billy." Billy hugged him and he disappeared. Her brother and father were still there though. She cried. "I miss you daddy, I miss you Daniel. I want you back. I tried to save you, if I had been stronger maybe you would still be here." Her father walked to her. "Billy, we miss you too. Please do not blame this on yourself. If it was ment to be, god would have let it happen, but here we are. God never does anything for no reason Billy. He does it so that someone else can build there faith or tell their story to others. Billy, god wants you to tell your story, our story." Billy smiled. "I love you daddy, I love you Daniel." She hugged them and they went away.

Billy cried for a minute. Then she walked up to the house, got a book, and fell asleep on the front porch. Her mum put her to bed later that evening. She had another nightmare. She woke screaming and Leia ran into her room. "What happened sweet heart? Are you okay?" Billy started to cry. "I had another nightmare mum. It was terrible. The shark that ate Dad and Daniel, came back and ate all the reef. You went out to check and then you got eaten!" Leia patted her head, "Your okay darling, mummy's not going anywhere. I gotta stay here and look after you." Billy hugged her mum. "Oh and guess what today is?" Billy looked at her mother. "Thursday?" Leia laughed. "Well yes, but can you remember what is happening today?" Billy was confused, she couldn't remember. "I can't remember mum, what is it?" "Today is the day you get to go out with the scientists, to get coral DNA so they can make an antidote and make the coral stronger." Billy hopped up and squeeled. "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my go-"  Leia stopped her, "Calm down hunny, are you sure you'll be able to go out there." Billy thought about it. "Yes, I think so." Leia smiled "I love you Billy, my brave little girl." Billy smiled "I love you too mummy." She kissed Leia on the cheek and ran down the hall way into the kitchen where Roofus was. Roofus jumped on her and she fell over. She laughed and scratched his head. Then he sat on her lap and because he weighed 50 kilos she couldn't move him. Leia walked out. "I guess he forgot he wasn't a puppy anymore." Billy laughed, Roofus moved off her and she stood up. She went to the fridge and got out the bread and then the Vegemite. Roofus sat and stared as she skilfully made the toast with her 1 arm. Billy laughed and gave him a bit. She continued making the rest of the toast and sat down and ate it. She sat on the porch facing the beach, and watched the waves roll in and out. It was quite a nice morning, watching the dark sky turn to orange then yellow then blue. She didn't know what it was, but that morning she felt like the old Billy, the Billy that had a father to tackle, the Billy that had a brother to whinge to, the Billy that had 2 arms. Then she thought about all the things she wouldn't get to do because she didn't have a dad. She wouldn't have someone to walk her down the aisle when she got married, she wouldn't have someone to say "if you hurt my baby girl, I will shoot you," like Dad's do. She started to cry, but they weren't tears of sadness, they were tears of joy, she would get to see her father and big brother again. She would see them in heaven.
