[this chapter is in jack's pov or outer 3rd pov; sorry about the messy first chapter]

-

Jack glanced out of the window when he heard a moving truck pull up "Hey ma' did the house next door get sold finally ?"

"Of course Sean, why d'ya think there's people movin' in ? Don't be a gowl now, wanna go ask them if they need help."

"Ma' you know how I am about that, I'm not very good with people; new ones in particular."

"Well Sean, maybe I'll cook somethin' for them this evening and I can have you bring it over to greet them"

"I guess I'll do that" Jack agreed

Jack continued to look out of the window, considering if he should follow both of what his mom had suggested, the new neighbor boy was pretty cute. So cute that Jack couldn't seem to keep his eyes off of him.

About thirty minutes after, he was sitting on his phone and decided to Skype Felix, (he and Felix had dated previously but broke up out of mutuality because they thought they would be better off just friends)

the conversation went a bit like this;

Jack: Hey

Felix: Hey what's up

Jack: Nothing much, you ?

Felix: Same here, what have you been up to ?

Jack: I've been considering going and talking to this new neighbor boy that moved in, not sure how or if I even want to

Felix: That house finally sold ??

Jack: I asked the same thing, he's really cute though

Felix: what's he look like ? can you snap a picture of him on the down low ?

Jack proceeded to walk up to the window and zoom in on his Galaxy S3 but as he took the picture the neighbor boy glanced over and Jack quickly ducked, worst part is; the flash was on

Jack: well that failed miserably

Felix what do you mean ?

Jack then told him what had happened.

Felix: hahaha, how are you going to go and talk to him now, without being awkward ya' know ?

Jack then heard his mother "Sean get down here, the casserole I prepared for the neighbours is finished"

"Okay ma'! Just one sec !"

Jack: oh no

Felix: what now ?

Jack: I have to take the casserole over.

Felix: well looks like you're on your own buddy

Felix ended the call and anxious little jack popped his phone into the pocket of his sweats and shuffled down the stairs.
