The next day at school, Gavin walked right up to me, looking angry.
"Gavin...why are you mad??" I asked, very confused.
"You told everyone!" he screamed at me.
"About what??" I asked.
"The park..." he said. "The kiss," he said a little softer.
"No I did not! I would never do that to you, you're my best friend!" I screamed.
"Then how does everyone know?" he was very mad now.
After a little bit of thinking, I said, "James."
Gavin froze. His fists clenched and unclenched angrily. He mumbled an apology, and took of in the direction of James.
I ran after him, afraid of what he would do. Him and James(the kid who called me a slut), were surrounded by many people. I pushed through the people, and then grabbed Gavin's arm before it hit James's face.
"Gavin, DON'T." I said stubbornly.
"Caylee, please let me?? I really want to beat the crap out of this kid because he said some nasty stuff about you-"
I cut him off by saying,
"Don't worry about it. Let's go." I said, pulling him away from the group of people.
Once we were a good enough distance away from everyone else, he screamed at me, "WHAT THE HELL, CAYLEE!"
"What?" I asked.
"I was sticking up for you!"
"You don't need to do that!"
"Why not? It's not like you're going to stick up for yourself because Lord knows that you never do that..." he ran his hands through his perfect hair.
"Look, I appreciate it, but I don't need your help. I've dealt with this crap my whole life.." I trailed off.
"Caylee," he took my hand. "don't listen to them ok? Your eyes? They're beautiful. You're amazing, ok? Never forget that. Ever."
I looked down and blushed. "Thanks," I mumbled.
He hugged me and said, "Anything for you."

Gavin's POV
After I hugged Caylee, she seemed very happy for the rest of the day.
"Do you wanna go to the park later?" I asked her as we walked down the hall together.
"Yeah, of course!" she answered, grinning like the Cheshire cat.
"Great." I said, grabbing her hand and running down the hall to my locker.
"Only one more hour of hell-oops I mean school," she said, laughing.
"Or not," I said grabbing my backpack out of my locker.
"Ok! I'll be right back," she said, running across the hall to her locker. On the way, she tripped.
Before she hit the ground, I caught her. For a few seconds, we just stared at each other. I love to look at her eyes. They are so beautiful, but she thinks otherwise.
So, I have made it my mission to make her feel beautiful.
