Dani's PoV

Over the past few days so much shit has happened. That hunter guy, held Jeremy,April and Matt hostage and tried to kill, Stefan and Elena. Unfortunately Elena killed the hunter, the consequence being that he haunted her and tried manipulating her to kill herself.

Luckily Stefan and Klaus saved her. But in order to do so, Klaus made me promise that he can escort me to Miss Mystic Falls. I agreed and Jeremy killed one of Klaus's Hybrids, and became a hunter.

I approached Elena with Caroline by my side.

"Look, I'm your best friend and I would never pick sides, but are you sure that this is what you want? Because Stefan is your soul mate," Caroline blurts out instantly.

Elena glares at her. And I give Caroline a pointed look.

Caroline sighs, "Sorry. Picking sides."

Elena looks down, "It's not like I don't love Stefan anymore, but I can't deny that ever since I turned, my feelings for Damon have become more intense.

Caroline scoffs, "Yeah, I know. Stefan filled me in on all the gory Damon details."

"He did?" Elena asks shocked, "Is he okay?"

I shake my head, "I don't think so. I think he's heartbroken."

"Well, what was I supposed to do? Lie to him?" Elena questions.

Caroline shakes her head, "No, but you weren't supposed to let Damon weasel his way into your confused newbie vampire heart."

Elena gives her an irritated look, "Well, he did and that's exactly what I am. Confused. I need to figure out what these feelings actually mean."

I spot Professor Shane walk down the steps over to us, I bid goodbye and start walking away. Hayley had told me not to trust him, she told me how she made a deal with him to find her family. But he didn't tell her about me.

The next day I walk into the room April is in preparing for the Miss Mystic Falls Pageant.

She holds up two dresses. A blue one. And a red one.

We all glance and state, "blue."

April looks surprised, "Really? The blue seems a little safe."

Elena nods, "Safe is good when it comes to the judges."

Caroline agrees, "She's right. Gracie Lockwood had a three-foot slit her year and practically got laughed off the court."

I smile and laugh. Quickly noting that Damon was now in our presence.

Elena stops and stares at him. Caroline throws an object at him.

"Get out," she yells.

He just smirks at her, "Where's Professor Shane?"

I scoff, "Check the judges' table."
