My Lights

I woke up at 12:00 like I always do each night. I slipped out of my bed quietly as I pulled the comforter off me. I rubbed my eyes, letting them start to see through the darkness of my room. I silently moved my feet in a weird way, knowing where to step to not make a creek in the floor. I stood in front of my bedroom window, lifting it slowly. The screen had already been proped open, so I climbed out of my window. I rested my hand on the roof as I pulled the rest of my body out of the window sill. I stared at the stars just watching them. Someone had once told me that if you look closely at the stars, they look like little porcupines writing apologies for all the unanswered wishes.

*My thoughts were inturupted*

I heard a howl in the distance.
"They went out again" I thought to myself.

Quickly, I jumped back into my room. I closed the window behind me and jumped into bed. Almost as soon as I pulled my comforter over me, my door swung open. Revealing two adults in there mid-thirties. One was a women with slightly dirty blonde hair and big brown eyes. The other was male, with dark brown hair and haysel (I can't spell plz excuse it If wrong) brown eyes.

"I told you she wasn't up there." The male said to the women.
"I'm sorry, Derrick, I swear I saw her." The women said back, "It's just weird because I could've sworn I smelt her scent!"
"Shhhh, Lila! Your gonna wake her!"
"Look whose talking!"

They continue arguing as Derrick shuts the door.
"This is what I get for being born into a wolf family.." I think to myself.

I drifted off to sleep with the darkness of my room surrounding all the light that comes near it. It was quiet. I like quiet. I smelt a certain smell that told me we are probably having bacon tommorrow.

Thanks for reading my new book!! I will try to post more and I don't know if I will keep writing Wolfies Story because this is pretty much my story so..... yeah
