I sit down on the couch where we once sat together as a family. I stare at the door way, watching, waiting... hoping. I long to see my mother stepping though the door way smiling. Walking towards me dropping a kiss on my head, asking what I would like for dinner tonight. I miss her.
A single tear drop rolls slowly down my cheek like a golf ball down a hill. The sadness inside me is like monster eating at my insides devouring me inside and out. Another tear falls as my aunt steps through the door way.
" Isabel darling, time to go to school now... " my aunt smiled.
" I can't. I don't want to, everyone knows, they'll ask questions they'll... "
" shh calm down! You'll be fine! Now off you go or you'll be late... " I snatched my bag and stormed out of the door slamming it behind me. I pulled my car keys opened my car and drove to school. I hate my aunt. Treats me like I'm 6 and not 16.
