'Hide' I said to kayla my 16 year old sister while I laid under the kitchen table . After a few minutes the persistent banging on the front door went away. We both got up and carried on eating our breakfast. We were used to debt collectors just banging on the door and finally leaving but we wanted it to stop. I vowed I would find a job and I will not break that promise. After breakfast and sending kayla off to school I went to 3 places to find work but none were looking. I had qualifications in business and a major in English and maths. But it was hard finding work in the busy streets of NYC...
