God writes a lot of comedy... the trouble is, he's stuck with so many bad actors who don't know how to play funny.

Chapter 6: Cops and Vampires
“Oh no!” Arriah hyperventilated over and over again, “I can’t afford another ticket.” She managed to wheeze out.
“You’re such a stupid girl,” Neel muttered nervously, “what are we going to do now?”
“I’ll put on my serious face.” Arriah suggested.
“Yeah, while you’re at it, why not just slap the man.” Neel retorted sarcastically.
“No! That would get us a one way ticket to jail.” Arriah hissed, obviously not getting the sarcasm in Neel’s tone.
“Sarcasm.” Neel told her bluntly.
“Where?” Arriah asked, looking around.
“Never mind.” Neel groaned loudly getting exhausted with the girl.
“Maybe, I could out the troll face on, like the comic?”
“Don’t be stupid.”
The cop reached the car, and dragged his fingers across door. He came up to Arriah, she immediately put a frown on her face. She played nervously with her fingers, until the man cleared his throat.
“Mam,” he spoke with an icy tone, “Sir,” he glanced at Neel, “License and registration, please.”
The cop had brown hair which was cut into a buzz cut, brown eyes, not the ones that would melt you, but the ones that would haunt you, and lastly he looked little fit, but not much. He looked to be in his early or mid-thirties.
“Uh. No,” Arriah mumbled, trying to meet the officers eyes, “No license and registration.”
Immediately, all eyes were on the pair, the officers eyes hardened, “Step out of the vehicle.”
Neel stepped out first and Arriah, hesitantly, but never the less did the same, Neel and Arriah stood side by side.
“I’m afraid I’m going to have to take you in.” The brunette told the two as his hands neared his pocket where, Arriah assumed his handcuffs were. Arriah’s eyes widened, she was afraid. She shrunk into Neel’s side, Neel instinctively wrapped an arm around her waist, he didn’t fear, he was just nervous.
“I told you, the troll face could’ve worked.” Arriah told him bitterly.
“That’s a comic, this is life, you dumbass.” Neel hissed.
Arriah got angered, but she calmed down as soon as she got an idea, she pushed Neel away and got all up in his face, “Why do you always have to be so rude?!”
Neel’s eyes widened in shock at Arirrah’s sudden outburst, to say he was shocked were an understatement. He backed down, even more nervous than before.
Arriah noticed the officer’s eyes widening at her sudden outburst, she had also noticed Neel backed down a bit, he seemed nervously, Arriah shook her head a bit and nodded at the police man, and his reaction to her yelling. She encouraged his to yell back, silently. The man’s hand was away from his pocket where the handcuffs lied.
Neel suddenly understood what Arriah tried to tell him, the cop was backing down. Well, some more acting shouldn’t hurt, Neel thought deviously.
“Well if you didn’t have to be so stubborn, then I wouldn’t have to!” Neel yelled back furiously, his hands flailing wildly.
