Mark hovered over Jack not knowing what to do, He was on his knees lightly shaking Jack. He looked up and tried to think of the best way to handle this. Mark sighed and scooped Jack up off of the floor with the little strength he had. Mark painfully stood up and began walking towards His room.
The bedroom door was slightly open, Mark pushed the door open with his back and carefully stepped in, He moved his bags off of the bed with his knee and fragilely placed Jack onto the bed. Mark backed up and fell to his knees, he sat there and looked at the floor
"What the hell is happening..?" Mark whispered to himself. He sat on the floor thinking to himself, what was the point? Mark used the bed to help him stand up, he groaned and began to walk out of the room he looked over at Jack still not awake.Mark opened the freezer and grabbed all the bags of frozen food and ice packs. He walked back down the hallway taking deep breaths each step. He walked into the room, Jack had no movement Mark could see he was breathing but he stayed so still, so fragile.
Mark wasn't sure if Jack even needed the ice packs, and if he did he didn't know where. He figured the only really important place to put the ice packs would be Jack's head. He piled the frozen stuff at the end of the bed.
Mark lifted up Jack's head and placed a couple of soft ice packs on his pillow, he carefully layed Jack's head back down. Mark stepped over to the end of the bed he sat down as lightly as possible trying not to wake Jack. He relaxed and looked at Jack's worn out shoes they were Converse they looked like they'd been through everything like he'd worn them his whole life, which was probably true. Mark never noticed how all of his clothes looked like that.He pushed off of the bed and stood up facing the door. Mark stepped out of the room and headed towards the kitchen.
He went through the cabinets and found the cups and grabbed two, mark filled them up with water and turned around, he noticed the sink with his flannel soaking in cold water. Mark stepped over to the sink and set the cups on the counter. Mark only let his fingers touch the water, he pulled the flannel out of the water and placed it in the other side of the sink. Mark reached down in the sink to pull the drain, his wrist stung from the cold water clinging his hand and wrist, He ripped his arm out of the water drying it with his shirt. Mark grabbed his flannel and twisted the water out of it. He grabbed the two drinks with one hand and scooped up his flannel with the other. Mark walked back into his room setting the drinks down on the bedside table. Mark once again lumped out of the room.Mark walked into the laundry room and messed with the dryer, he finally figured it out and threw his flannel in. He left it going while he went to go check on Jack. Mark looked in the door way, he noticed Jack sitting on the side of the bed holding one of the ice packs.
Jack looked up at Mark with a concerned look. Mark made his way through the door, he hesitantly sat down on the bed next to Jack. Jack looked at Mark then looked behind him out the window it was 7:00am, Mark had gotten no sleep. Jack looked back down at the ice pack in his hand and dropped it on the ground
"Are you ok?" Mark was still looking at Jack not knowing what to say
"I don't know, not really" Jack looked up at Mark with an innocent gaze, Jack sighed and raised his eyebrows
"Do you know why this is happening..? What's the point..?"
Jack said in a soft voice, Mark ran his fingers through his red hair he looked over at Jack not knowing what to say
"I don't know, I..." Mark trailed off stopping himself from saying anymore
"What?" Jack gave Mark a confused look while he waited for Mark to finish,
"It might Just be... in your head" Mark said with a sorry look, Jack moved his head back quickly as if he was surprised
"What about you..!?" Jack had almost a frightened tone, Mark didn't know, he looked down at his hands
"There has to be a reason right? It can't just be in our heads!" Jack got closer to Mark. Mark looked up his face was right in front of Jack's, Mark couldn't look away he noticed Jack's blue eyes that seemed to be pulling him closer, Mark leaned into Jack pressing there lips together. Jack's frightened look turned into a smile, Mark was surprised by his own action Mark placed his hand on Jack's face pulling him closer. Jack broke the kiss by standing up and pulling Mark up with him, Jack pulled Mark towards him leaning against the wall. Mark pushed against Jack breathing heavily, he pressed his lips against Jack's. Jack smoothed his hands over Mark's shoulders, Jack rapped his leg around Mark's. Jack put his hand behind Mark's neck breathing heavily.
Mark broke apart from Jack and looked up Jack looked up at mark confused. Mark started to back up
"Mark what are you..." Jack stopped when he heard a knocking noise coming from the front door.
