I Love You Both Too Much To Let One Of You Go

(Part 2 of 2)What?! No She Can't Be...

Chat had to think quick, he raced across every rooftop with Marinette in his arms.  Once he got to a hospital he ran in and cried for help.  The doctors ran to her and put her in a stretcher.  One of the nurses had a clipboard in her hand and asked Chat what had happened he said,"I don't know, I tried asking her but her eyes closed before she even got to answer."  The nurse nodded and asked Chat another question,"Do you know who this girl's parents are?"  he nodded sniffling.  The nurse told Chat to go to her parents and tell them that she is in the hospital.  Chat nodded once again and ran out to get Marinette's parents. On the way there he kept thinking,"What do I tell them? 'Yeah, well, see...your daughter got turned into an Akuma and somehow got stabbed.' Ugh I just feel so-so-so guilty. I should've ran after her when she left and now I don't even know what I'm going to do if s-she's..." Just the thought of Marinette being dead made Chat teary eyed. He continued to think as he made his way to Marinette's bakery.
At Marinette's bakery...
Chat opened the bakery door, making the little bell at the top of it jingle. Sabine walked to the front of the bakery to see Chat sniffling. Sabine walked over to Chat and said,"Oh, Chat Noir, what happened?"  Chat opened his mouth, he spoke quietly,"She's hurt.  It's all my fault."  Sabine heard his quietly spoken sentence and asked,"Who?" He had no other choice, he had to say it,"Marinette." Sabine was shocked, she thought Marinette was upstairs. Chat looked at his feet, he didn't have the courage to look at her eyes.  It was silent until Sabine asked Chat what happened.  He broke,"I-I don't even know.  The only thing I know at this point is that she's in terrible pain and that...I...I...I love her."  Sabine gasped and looked at Chat saying,"Is this true?"  He blushed lightly,"yeah."  Sabine looked shocked at his words, "B-but she never told us about you..." Chat looked up and looked into her eyes, "I-I'm sorry..." Tom started to walk down the stairs. Chat got intimidated, he was always scared that Tom would never approve when Marinette decided to finally tell him. Now that Marinette was hurt, and because of him, what would he think now? Sure he was a hero, but a hero means danger as well. Tom was about to say something to sabine until he noticed that Chat was standing in their bakery. Tom looked questioningly at Chat,"What is he doing here?" Sabine was about to tell him but Chat asked if he could speak to Tom in private. Chat moved to the corner of the room with Tom following him,"Y-your um daughter, she's uh she's hurt." Tob raised an eyebrow and walked over to Sabine to ask her if it was true. She nodded. Tom looked back at Chat and asked him,"Where is she?" That's the moment were Chat knew that his life was over,"The h-hospital."  Tom stepped back,"Wh-what do you mean?" Chat looked down again, "I'm so sorry..."

Tom looked at Chat, his eyes were twitching,"Why are you sorry?!" He yelled at Chat. He didn't dare look up, he couldn't, not with how this conversation was working out. "Look at me!" He yelled. Chat could tell the tears threatening to come out. As much as he didn't want to, he looked into Tom's eyes. Finally Chat gathered up the courage to stand up to Tom,"I'm sorry because someone I love dearly just got hurt, terribly. So if you don't want to help her out then I'll find a way to do it myself because I can't lose someone as amazing as her." Tom stern softened. He sighed and grabbed Chat by the shoulders, "She is my daughter and I'll love her more than you ever will. Yes, I understand where you're coming from but," Tom let go of Chat shoulders and turned away from him, "You're not allowed to see her again." Chat stood there for a moment to process all information then his heart dropped, there wasn't a way for him to not see he again. He yearned to be with her every second of his life, it's all he ever wanted for her to just be next to him. Chat opened his mouth,"I can't do that sir." Tom turned back around,"Why not?" Chat stood there and looked at Tom straight in the eye, "Sir I know you have all the right to ban me but, I love her. I've never loved a girl as much as I love your daughter. I would rather die than never see her again." Tom frowned, "Where is she?" Chat was now even more afraid of answering,"The décès hospital." Tom nodded, grabbed a coat, and started to walk out without any words. Sabine stood there for a second, "Chat...I...I'm sorry, I have to go too." She ran out grabbing her coat as well. Chat fell to his knees, "I deserve it don't I ?" A voice, it sounded like Marinette, faintly said,"No. No you don't. Why would you?" He looked around, nobody was there. He put his hand to his cold face. Tears came pouring while thoughts of death creeped in. His mind was filled with thoughts of death but somewhere in between all the horrid thoughts was memories. Memories of her, laughing, crying, and even some with him. He thought he was absolutely insane but was he really, all he wanted was for her to be ok. He didn't notice but he was crying even harder now. His heart beat went faster as more thoughts of her happiness and darkness came in. He couldn't help but feel responsible. He got up and decided that he couldn't just sit and do nothing. He started walking out to the hospital. When he got there he asked the lady at the front where Marinette's room was. She told him and he started to walk down the hallway to where she was. He didn't want to be spotted by Tom and Sabine so he peeked at the open door. "There she is." He thought. He wanted to run to her, he couldn't, not with her parents in the room. "Marinette," He heard Tom say. Sabine wrapped her arms around him, "She'll be fine, Tom." Chat felt a stab in his heart know this was his fault. He kept blaming himself, he kept thinking,"I'm supposed to be there for you. How could I let this happen?" He must've said part of that out loud because Tom looked out the door questioningly, Chat tried to move out the way but he wasn't fast enough. Tom walked out and saw chat,"What did I say? I don't want you to be near her." Tom had said that in such a steern voice, it was kept low though. Chat had spoke out before Tom got the chance to interrupt,"I-I just want to make sure that she is ok." Tom struggled to make a decision but when he did, he allowed Chat to come in. Chat didn't want to make any wrong decision, he asked Tom if he could sit next to Marinette. Tom nodded since he knew that this would be the last time that Chat would ever see her. Chat sat next to her, he looked at her restless face. He couldn't help but let out a small sob. Tom stared at Chat and his small cries, "I'm sorry princess." Her foot suddenly twitched, Chat looked at her with hope. Well that was until the monitor to keep track of her heartbeat continuously beeped, everyone In the room looked up as a bunch of doctors ran in Tom instructed Chat to head outside. He did as told and waited. When the doctors were finished they spoke to Tom and Sabine,"It was a false alarm the monitor got unplugged somehow." Tom saw this as the perfect opportunity to make sure Chat never came close to Marinette. He walked out and told Chat that Marinette was dead. Chat in that moment felt his heart stop. He could almost swear he was going to die too. How could he let this happen to her?! Without a word he left Tom and Sabine alone. When he got out he jumped from roof to roof until he couldn't do it anymore, he needed a break, he just wanted to talk to someone. He wondered what had happened to Ladybug, he hadn't seen her in a while. He wanted to give up, to do nothing, then again that's what he was doing now. He jumped back to his house and detransformed into Adrien. He fell onto his bed,"It isn't fair Plagg!! I've never loved someone as much as her. She's my life, and if she's gone, I want to be gone too. I'm not saying I'm going to do anything but I would feel better if I had someone to talk to that understands me. I bet you're just thinking about cheese." Adrien bursted out into tears on his bed. Plagg was listening,"Um hey, kid I know you feel like talking this out and forgetting about it but maybe the best thing to do would be to--". Plagg heard a whisper coming from Adrien,"Plagg I want to see her." Plagg looked at him and was about to say something before he got pulled into Adrien's ring. Chat jumped to Marinette's house and went in through her balcony window. He walked over to the picture they took together. He grabbed it and took it back to his house.
At Adrien's house...
Adrien stared at the picture, studied her features. Light blush, long lashes, and her beautiful buttoned nose. His heart beated fast as he looked back to that day.
Flashback: Marinette took out her phone and took a picture, she looked at it and told Chat that there was something missing. She went back to her camera and took another picture but this one wasn't just a normal picture with Marinette smiling next to Chat, this time it was a picture of her kissing Chat on the cheek. She looked at it in her photo album and smiled. She went to her computer, connected her phone to a USB cord and told Chat to wait at the computer so he can tell her when the loading bar was full. After a few minutes he saw the bar filled up,"Hey princess, the loading bar is full." She smiled and blushed when he said princess. She got lost in her thoughts,"I'm really getting used to that." She let out a laugh as she pressed a flashing green button on her printer, right after she pressed the button, the printer started to spit out a piece of paper. She walked over to Chat and showed him what was on the paper. He saw it and turned red. Marinette took out one of her old pictures from a frame and replaced it with the new one of her and Chat.
That was one of the best days Chat ever experienced with her, though his favorite was more recent. Right before the Akuma incident.
Flashback: Marinette was reading a book in her bed when she heard a tap at her window. She looked over seeing Chat. She walked over and unlocked her balcony window to let Chat in. Chat walked in her room and said,"What you up to princess?" She replied,"Oh nothing I was just reading a book in my bed but now I'm about to give you a lecture on why you came to my scho--" Chat stopped her with a kiss, he didn't care anymore, he wanted everyone to know about them, he loved her and he didn't want to hide it anymore. He moved to her jaw and then to her neck, he left trails of kisses all over. Marinette was left breathless trying to speak but she could form a sentence all that would come out of her mouth was,"C-chat...I-I..." Chat stopped kissing and whispered into her neck,"You what?" He made a devilish grin. Marinette took a moment to catch her breath and said,"I-I love you, you stupid cat." She was about to take her turn in kissing him but he stopped her and said,"Sorry but I need to be somewhere, like you know, patrol."
He really wished that he let Marinette have her turn. He started crying, putting tears on the frame of the picture.

I'm done!!  Here is part 2!!  I added the first part of the chapter just to see how many words it was and oml...the longest chapter yet and man can I say it surely is going to be hard to beat (2137 words without this part in bold aka just normal story)
