Chapter 2: Catching up

"Who would have though the curly brow could even be just friends with a female" Zoro stated.
I giggled a little at the nickname. Sanji looks at me with a glare, and that just made me laugh more.
"We will be in the kitchen to catch up. Please do not disturb us. If you want something yell." He stated and took my hand and dragged me info the kitchen. I wandered around the kitchen taking in everything.
"Would you like something to eat Tess? " Sanji asked from behind the counter while putting on his apron.
"Sure"
"What would you like?"
"Surprise me" I stated with a smirk
"Okay" he said with a smile plastered on his face.
It went quiet for a bit while he was getting ingredients ready.
"So..... How have you been? Last time I saw you, was when we 6 and 7."
He smiled and started telling you what had happen after you were kidnapped. He was locked away by his father, escaped his home on the condition he never speak of them being his family, started working on a ship when he was ten, got stranded on a rock with the guy that attacked his boat, the guy started a restaurant and sanji offered he work for him. And after 9 years he met Luffy. And many more things he done with Luffy that I am too lazy to write.

Sanji had a smile the whole time he was speaking.
"You must be really happy" I said with a huge smile.
"Yeah. But I am much happier now that you are here"
He places the food in font on me, and to my surprise, it was butter chicken and rice. The one dish that I had always wanted to try. I smiled and looked in front of myself where he sat with his own plate.
"You remembered" I stated while smiling.
"If course I did. How could I not. You would always talk about how that was the one dish that you wanted to try before you die. You said that almost everyday"
"I didn't think I said it that much" I said with a little blush.
I took a bite of the dish and I froze. I looked up to him.
"Well you have definitely got better a cooking" I stated with a huge smile. We just laughed at my comment and I continued eating. We finished our food and Sanji took my plate and his to the kitchen and washed them. He came back a sat next to me this time. He sat on the chair beside me looking at me. I laughed.
"I suppose it's my turn. I'll start with when I got kidnapped cause you already know everything before that incident." I states and he nodded
"Well I was kidnapped by Caesar" when I mention his name Sanji visually stiffened but I continued "he took me to Punk Hazard and conducted experiments on me for 11 years. As a result of them I now have a devil fruit power of some sort. It gives me the ability to use any witch power ever created but Caesar didn't realise that I had this power so when I was 17 I escaped. I went into hiding for 3 years and mastered my my devil fruit powers. I then heard that a pirate crew called the strawhats defeated Caesar. I could finally come out of hiding knowing that Caesar could no longer hurt me. I went to the first town I could find and I saw that I had a bounty of 200,000,000, probably because the government didn't want an experiment running loose. I found all the crews bounty posters and I saw yours, and I knew it was you straight away even though the drawing was nothing like you. I then used a tracking spell to find you. So here I am." I said with a smile.
Our of nowhere Sanji hugged me really tight, but I didn't hesitate to hug him back.
"I'm sorry I wasn't there to protect you from Caesar" he said, as I felt some tears wet my cloak. I pulled him back at arms length.
"You wouldn't have been able to so anything at the time. So don't kick yourself for it. Okay?" I asked while whipping some stray tears from his cheek. I then started to cry,
"Thank you so much Sanji. You know everything about me, good and bad, and you still treat me so well. The thought of being able to see you again was what kept me alive. Thank you so much." Sanji gave me a big hug and let me cry. I needed it, that's for sure. He broke the hug and held me at arms length and whipped my tears and kissed my forehead.
"I'm glad I was a little bit helpful"
I laughed a bit at the comment. We just sat there talking for a while until Luffy called saying that he was hungry.
