The Things We Didn't Tell You

To celebrate their 2nd anniversary as a couple, RJ and Maine agreed to have dinner at Sofitel. While waiting for their food, RJ excused himself to go the restroom. It was taking a while for him to return so Maine decided to busy herself with checking her social media accounts. While fishing for her phone inside her bag, she saw a yellow envelope that was not there earlier. Thinking it must be RJ who put it there as a surprise, she decided to read it when he's not around.

When RJ came back from the restroom, she excused herself and told him she'll just freshen up (when in truth she was just too excited to read his letter). As soon as she closed the door to the restroom, she immediately opened the envelope and read the contents of the card.

Happy 24th monthsary to us!

It has only been 24 months but I feel like we have known each other forever. I may not always tell you and I may sometimes forget to show you, but know that you are one of the greatest blessings I always thank the Lord for. I told you this before, and I'll tell you again, it would be really hard for me If I suddenly lost you in my life, so please, let's never stray and walk away from each other okay? Ang cheesy ba? Well, i can't help it, it is what it is hehehe :D

Thank you for being you. Thank you for encouraging me to just be me.

It's like you know me more than I know myself.

I never thought I had it in me, to pour my heart out, and write flowery words in sweet abandon.

Thank you, for giving me the courage to try out things I only longed to do, for fear of judgment or censure.

Thank you, for always being my person, and never judging me for the things that i have or have not done.

Thank you, for sticking with me, and being patient with me, even when a lot of them left. I know I have a lot of making up to do, and I promise to make it all up to you. I will be the most devoted of husbands (resibo mo 'tong sulat na 'to, isapak mo sa akin 'pag nagiging workaholic na naman ako masyado :D ).

Awww bwiset! ang sweet ng mokong huhuhu...

She couldn't help the tears that fell from her eyes. Seemingly small gestures as this, are those that make her tear up, ESPECIALLY if done by him. To most people, RJ may seem like the guy who isn't into letters and cheesy stuff, but when it comes to surprising her he can be the cheesiest guy on earth. And she loves that about him, so she always makes sure to let him know how she appreciates his cheesiness.
