Chapter 4/ The Man

I said goodbye to my parents and had to go grocery shopping.

While I was on my way to the supermarket, a very handsome man caught my eye and then, as a very stupid move, bumped into him. "Sorry. I am in a big rush- you are very pretty. I can see something good inside of you. I like it. I'm Jacob Adams." He said. He was starting to shake my hand, but I was too stunned by the fact that he is extremely handsome and he is talking to me and he is very very very handsome.

I  finally got out of trance and shook his hand. "Wendy Brin." I said. Wow. His hand is so soft and so warm. "After my big meeting can we meet up to get some coffee at Grand Coffee at 10?" He asked. I obviously had to say something so I said yes. He hugged and he left. Oh my god a pretty guy that actually loves me for me. I think I am in love. I'm kidding obviously I don't  even know him.

I quickly checked off all the things off the list and then speed walked home because it was already 9:49. Addy made a comment. "Where are you going?" She asked. "None of your business." Another mistake. "Mom!!" Addy yelled. Oh my god! She's slowing me down!
"What is it?" Mom said. "Wendy is leaving and won't tell me where." Addy said like a little brat. Like always. "Wendy, can you please tell us where you are in a rush for?" Addy needs to learn from mom. She is calm.
"Fine. I have a little coffee date with a man named Jacob Adams and I'm going to be late because it is 9:56 ok I told you everything now I have to go, BYE!" Then i ran out and slammed the door behind me. "She is so rude." Addy commented again. Then she left and mom looked like she wanted to hit her. "Please let the date go well". Mom prayed. Now I just have to play it cool. But it is 5 blocks from here so I have to hurry up. And it is 9:58. Okay. I'm here and he is right up the street and he is coming his way. Now he is in the restaurant. Just. Play. It. Cool. Wendy.
