I know how much you love your Red Sox. Even if you try to tell me that your heart now belongs to the Cubs, I know that they still hold a large spot in your heart. It was evident whenever I saw your face when they were eliminated this year.
I had a feeling that you were a Red Sox fan when I met you, though, because I asked you about your accent (the accent that I love and the accent you call me crazy for thinking you have it) and you just told me you were from Boston.
But even if you tell me that you love the Cubs now, I appreciate it, by the way, I'll accept the fact that the Red Sox will always be a team that makes you happy. And that's okay because I want to see you happy.
(And part of the reason your dad puts up with is me the fact that I'm not a Yankee.)
