Chapter 2: The Arrival

Again hours had finally passed and your mother lightly shook you to awaken you. It was finally time to go and investigate your new home. As you climbed off the plane the sun shone against your skin and it felt good. You and your parents went to the parking lot in search of your Volkswagen and after 2 to 3 minutes you and your family finally found your car.

"You ready Y/N?!" asked your mother.

You nodded and climbed into the Volkswagen and on your way to your new home. As your parents pulled out and left the airport Hawkins,Indiana you could see all the buildings everywhere. The town looked extremely pleasant and cheerful. There was department stores, gas stations, candy stores, etc. The ride was 10 minutes and you had finally arrived at your new home. The house was even bigger than the last one. Suppose your parents. Got a possible raise.

"You ready to see tour new home Y/N?" asked your mother.

You nodded in agreement and you climbed out of the the car. You and your parents approached the stoop of your new home. They unlocked the house and to your surprise the house was extremely gorgeous. You walked around in awe. The livingroom was filled with boxes but the window inside had a nice view. You could see the sunrise because you arrived around 5 or 6:00 Am. You could see trees and all the other things in the neighborhood. 

"Y/N, why dont you go look around the neighborhood?" said your parents.

You nodded and exited the house. You looked around the neighborhood. All was quiet until you heard the loud noises of bike wheels treading across the road. You looked behind you and saw 3 younger kids riding their bikes down the road. You waved but they sped past. You figured they didn't notice until they pulled over onto the sidewalk. You walked over to meet them. You all stare at eachother for maybe 5 to 10 minutes but at least one of you spoke up.

"Hi,... My name's Mike and this is Lucas and Dustin." said Mike.

"Im Y/N." you replied.

"Where do you come from Y/N?" Mike asked.

"Miami, Florida." you reply again.

"Nice." said Dustin

"So I've heard about what happened here. That's pretty intense and kinda cool." you said.

But as those very words slipped through your mouth they looked at you in anger and disgust.

"There was nothing cool about it. We lost and nearly lost something important to us." Lucas said angrily.

They all walked away with their bikes and very pissed at you. You put your head down in regret and walked home. You felt extremely ashamed of yourself.

"How was your tour of the neighborhood?" asked your mother.

You walked upstairs in silence. You didn't feel like talking to your mother. Not after what happened today.
