What is love? I have not been able to answer this question thoroughly. I am not sure what love is. I do yearn for it surely but I can also see that is serves to be illogical. It is humorous you see to consider that love is the one thing that we all need but can never understand.
Though I do not understand the complex mysteries of love, I do believe I know why it is such a rare fixation. As people we are biased, filled with prejudices, racist, shallow, and selfish. Love requires us to do away with all of these evils. Those who do not or cannot, will never experience the truth of love.
I myself have realized my own faults as a lover. I am insecure and contain an inferiority complex. I am clingy. I am emotional. I am emotionless. My insecurity has driven me away from great women and my inferiority complex causes me to feel incapable of keeping a woman. My other traits and their effects have varied among the different types of women I have loved. My relationships up to this point have been glorious disasters. The main lesson learned from my unsuccessful flames was that patience is surely a virtue. Patience enables one to grow as an individual and lover. This is made possible by the submissive acts patience requires.
"To love is to give without expectation."
