Elijah P.O.V-

"I want the girl and I want the baby."

I replied. "You're either stupid or you don't believe me when I say that I will tear your throat out and since I know you're not daft, I would like you to explain why you don't put faith in an original vampire to deliver your death wish?"

He smiled, the coy little bastard. "I have no doubt in my mind that you could kill me Elijah. I'm just not so sure you'd enjoy the outcome."

"Will your followers hunt me down Marcel? Considering my family is in hold of all the few things it takes to kill us." I retorted. "You seem so sure your "family" will redeem you but maybe they'll just fight over who gets the crown."

His face tightened and I realized I had hit a nerve.

"I believe this conversation is done here." With that I exited the shop.

...

Marcel P.O.V -

The Mikaelson's were housing a pregnant werewolf, I knew they were because it couldn't have been anyone but them. She was spotted her when the Mikaelson's came, indicating that they had brought her there with them and although they are guests in my town, it is still my town.

"I couldn't get the wolf," I said into my phone "the Mikaelson's are defending her like family."

"What do you want me to do?" He said into the other line.

"The blonde, Caroline, the first time you see her without them, I want you to grab her and take her to me."

...

Caroline P.O.V -

I was hungry. My eyes kept drifting shut no matter how much I wanted them to open. I felt horrible.

I realized that a hand was wrapped within my own and a slight dip on the side of my bed.

He wore the same clothes he had on when I had fallen asleep that night. I suddenly wondered how long it had been since that night, I wasn't quite sure how to wake him because in honesty, I've never seen a vampire drool. Let alone a hybrid.

I shook him. "Klaus?"

He woke with a start and his eyes found mine. It seemed that he had to take a minute for realization to kick in. "I should call Sophie, are you feeling alright? What happened Caroline?"

I grabbed his arm and pulled him onto the bed. "Don't call Sophie, get me some blood and I'll be fine."

I felt the heat radiating through my body from where I touched him. He stared at my hand for quite a while before getting up and leaving quickly.

I lifted myself into a sitting position in an attempt to lift my pillows up but I didn't have enough strength.

Klaus was already at my aid, "Here." He shifter the pillows beneath me, I settled against them and he handed me a glass much like the one he had smashed against the wall years ago.

I smiled and drank.

...

I ended up basically inhaling 2 blood bags.

"What happened?" Klaus asked me.

I shrugged, not sure if I wanted to tell him yet. "How long was I out?"

"3 days."

My lips parted. "I'm so sorry Niklaus."

He smiled lightly at my apology but it quickly turned into a frown. "You should go back to Mystic Falls Caroline."

I laughed. "We both know that's not going to happen."

"Yes it will."

I shook my head amused. "I want to be with you Niklaus."

He raised his eyebrow. "You've called me Niklaus twice now."

I shrugged. "Something I picked up I guess."

"From where."

"When I was-" I stopped "Elijah just calls you that, I guess I caught on."

He examined my face. "When you were what, Caroline?"

"Nothing, when I was nothing." I brushed it off. "I don't even know what I was thinking about." I bit lip and thought of the many times I had tasted his blood on my tongue. I sighed. "There is something I need to-"

"Niklaus," she entered the room "at the aid of someone who has tried to kill you once again."

I gave her a small smile. "Hi Rebekah."

She looked taken aback by my semi-kind gesture. She nodded. "Caroline."

"I thought you weren't coming." Niklaus said to his sister.

She shrugged. "Family above all." She spoke before leaving the room.

I could tell that this lightened his mood a bit before he shifted his attention back on me.

"You were about to tell me something weren't you?"

I had forgotten but in this moment I wasn't sure if it would bring him down or boost up him up so I decided to keep quiet. "It's nothing Nik," I smiled "your family is here. You should celebrate."

He laughed lightly. "That's a first."
