There was too much to take in.
1. I was on the other side.
2. I met Klaus before I met Klaus.
3. Grams wanted me to kill him.

I don't really know when I started calling her Grams but it felt like I should. She is the closest thing I have for a Grandma, was the closest thing.

"Caroline." I turned my attention back to her. "Will you do it?"

I shook my head. "I can't. I don't understand why you think I'll want to kill him after what you showed me."

"Caroline," she said calmly "after he left Mystic Falls he made Lucy Bennett put a compulsion spell on you. Something that can never be undone, even when the transition of becoming a vampire-"

"That explains nothing!" I screamed back.

She raised her voice. "It explains a lot! Why the hell do you think he never wanted you to remember? He knew you would forgive him even if you remembered, so why is it that he doesn't want you to."

My mouth was agape in that moment and there was no answer. My throat turned dry and I croaked out "He loves me." Because I was sure now that he did.

"That he does but there needs to be a balance." She responded. "The walls of the other side are shaking and sooner or later, they will be broken down."

"I thought we already dealt with that problem."

"You never even moderately fixed it."

I stifled a laugh. "I'm not killing him. That's like me killing Bonnie, would you do it if there wasn't a balance and it was because of her?"

Grams pursed her lips. "That's different."

"How is it different? Because she's your flesh and blood? You love Bonnie and I love Klaus. I would not dare touch either of them."

Her draw dropped and for a second I couldn't understand why. It was because of that one thing, love and now that I had said it, I couldn't take it back.

"Let her go Grams." In the shadows I could make out Bonnie.

My throat clenched. "God, I missed you." I wrapped my arms around her but I couldn't feel much. There was no heat to her body, nothing but I suppose it was due to the dream.

"Caroline." She whispered softly in my ear, as if it were a memory that she was having a hard time placing.

"Why are you here?" I asked with furrowed eyebrows.

"We don't need to talk about that now. I just want you to get back home."

I smiled. "Home to Mystic Falls or home to Klaus?"

"To Klaus, that's where you should be."

I bit my lip and glanced over at Grams. "Some would disagree."

Bonnie kissed my forehead once. "You don't belong here, ever." She told me and I couldn't quite understand what she was talking about. "I love you, Care."

"I love you too, Bonns."

And then it went black.

...

Bonnie P.O.V

"That was uncalled for." Grams spat her words of anguish at me.

"You took it too far." I replied angrily. "Besides, she wasn't the one who was supposed to do it. Even if she wanted to she couldn't, she doesn't have enough hate towards him."

Grams rolled her eyes. "I understand as much now."

"I already have the right person in mind. So you won't have to worry as much."

Grams expression suddenly stiffened. "You need to tell her," her voice was low "you need to tell all of them."

I shook my head. "No I don't, they're already too busy. They don't need any more of this in their lives."

"No," she said "but maybe you do."

I swallowed, I knew she was right.

...

Sophie P.O.V

I held the picture of the Bennett witch Klaus had been looking for. I needed to make sure it was the right one and their were not very many Bennett's to find anyways.

When I walked into the room he was still on the side of Caroline's bed, holding her hand with furrowed eyebrows.

He hadn't taken his eyes off her.

There were new additions. Hayley in the window seat and Elijah leaning against a wall. Hayley held a book in her hand and Elijah watched her thoughtfully, he was the most understanding out of the two of them. The kindest and most honest.

"Klaus," his attention turned to me "I've found your witch."

"Thank god-"

I held up a finger. "I tried to use a tracking spell on her Klaus and I couldn't find her, she's no where on the map. So instead I didn't use a map this time and I found her. She's on the other side, Niklaus. She's dead." I handed him the photo.

He held it in one hand and tore his gaze from mine and to the photo. His face sunk into a deeper depression as he looked from Caroline to the photo.

"That's not Lucy," he said "that's Bonnie."
