(Kanda's Dream)
I pant heavily, clutching my side as blood spills from my wounds.Swet drips from my chin and nose, my back pressed up aginst a brick wall.
I turn my head to the left, checking to see if Bryn was ok.She was pinchig her nose, blood leaking down her arm and drips off her elbow;a dark bruise under her left eye, but she looked ok.
Noticing me staring at her, she stares back, checkimg me for wounds or broken bones, Her eyes slightly widened as the found my wound.
"K-kanda," she says, crawling over to me.She placed her hand oer mine, which covered my bleedig side.
"Y-your side, are you-"
"I'm fine," I cut her off."It's just a flesh wound."
Nodding, she sits back.Dark shadows loomed over us.Alert,I shot up from where I was sitting, wincing slightly from the paon from my wound.Three akuma surround us.Bryn slowly stands and moves to my side.Innocence already activated.My hand was firmly gripped on my sword, knees bent, eyes lurking backand fourth at the three akuma.
Aiming their weapons, they fire.
"Innocence......ACTIVATE!!!!" I yelled as I soom began to sprint.Holding my sword close to my side, I bounce off of a near by building, yelling as I slice an akuma in half.Grinning when my feet touched the ground.The explosion blowing my hair in my eyes.
"KANDA!!!" Bryn screams, shaking as she backs up into a corner. An army of akuma surrounds her. Her innocence has been deactivated and she has nothig to defend erself with.
Charging at the akuma, I call out to her. She screams in agonizing pain. I skitted to a stop. Everything was going in slow motion. Bryn slowly falls to the ground with a sickining thud, her eyes wide with pain. Tears spill feom them. Her stomach blown and ripped open, blood pooling from her. Guts spilling.
Reaching an outstreached hand towards me, she staresat me with pleeding eyes.
"K-kan..da," was the last thing she said befor an akuma approached her, blowig her head. Her body went limp.
My legs went numb, buckling under me, and I fell to the ground. Tears dripping feom my cheeks as my heart snapped in two.
I couldnt save her, thought to myself. Akuma began to surround me. A choked sob escaped my throat. Closing in on me, the akuma aimed their weapons on me.
"Why?" I whisper, looking up at nothing. I sob harder. Then everything went black.......
