When your soul mate dies they kinda haunt your living body until you die, but they don't just 'haunt' you they protect you while you slightly fall into insanity as they try to tempt you to be with you loved one again.

A girl with supernatural abilities has been outcasted by her family as they believe her soulmate is dead and haunting her and her insanity will bring shame to the family, just like the aunt did. The aunt could've gone on a rampage killing people and locked up in a mental hospital as she attempted to kill herself after.

Soulmates not meaning to cause this harm to their humans end up forming a community in an attempt to overthrow death but if death is overthrown then humanity will all end up dead and in an endless abyss. Knowing this death convinced god to grant humans with special abilities, such as mediums and all to try and stop this on-coming storm.

This girl, outcasted and alone feels herself going insane (but actually just suffers from a bad type of depression and anxiety) as she tries to talk to herself to seek help and needs to earn money somehow and turns to stealing. One day she robs the wrong man that turns out to be her soulmate and he has strange abilities too. He tries to burn her before he realises thats his soulmate he hugs and her and rejoices and laughs but she pushes him away and starts screaming at him that her soulmate is dead and following her. He realises she has strange abilities but she doesn't realise that her soulmate isn't dead and she just as the same abilities as him.

A main part of the book is him gaining her trust as they go on adventures to find the other two who are also soul mates and have their little own side story but aren't human but vampire/wizard/witchery something to spice it up a little bit and have a multi-raced group.
