Jessica's POV:

I had to wait three whole days before I had chorus again. I was literally dying if anxiety. Mike kept reassuring me I won, but I had to know for sure.

I thought about asking Ms Herbert, my chorus teacher, but that could make me lose the solo if I won.

I guess the only think to do is wait...

And wait...

And wait some more.:.

BUT I CANT WAIT IM DYING TO KNOW!

I'm going to ask Ms. Herbert. I don't even care anymore!

Mike's POV:

Jessica still seems to be worried about the stupid solo. I know she won, she knows she won, why is she stressing over this?

She won't listen to me at all. When I tell her she won, she tunes out or shoves a book or even her hand in my face. It's almost like she doesn't want to hear she won.

After lunch today, I'm going to talk to our chorus teacher, Ms. Herbert. I'm going to get prof she won!

Jessica's POV:

Mike's been acting very weird around me lately. It seems as if a spider is crawling up his back whenever we talk. He also has some weird stutter.

This only happens for me though. What did I do? Is he scared to talk to me? DOES MY MAKEUP LOOK BAD? What is going on with him?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mike's POV:
I can't even look at Jessica the same way anymore.
I went down yesterday to talk to Ms. Herbert. It took a lot to get it out of her. She told me... Jessica did not win. I was stunned. I felt the as if the whole world flipped upside down.
Maddie won the solo. She sounds like a dying walrus when she sings. It was obviously set up. Her parents must have slipped a hundred or two to sweeten Maddie's chances. I hate rich people.
Jessica doesn't know Maddie won. I don't want to tell her though, but I don't want to keep reassuring she won to find out she lost. If I stop reassuring her, she'll know something is up. What am I going to do?
