Jessica's POV:

Austin asked me to go with him to the concert. IT'S OUR FIRST DATE! I hope I don't blow this. He is just too hot.

He's singing to the radio like an angel. I sing along and sound like Maddie. Maddie. Ha, I get to see Maddie fail. My life is about to be complete.

"Wanna stop for dinner" Austin asked me in a singing tone. "First of all, I'm sick. Second of all, we have... 12 minutes to get to the concert." "We'll get subway!" He said it almost in a childish voice. He looked like a 5 year old on Christmas morning when I said "fine".

After we compromised about eating after the concert, we pulled into the parking lobby. I started getting out of the car but felt sick to my stomach. Austin rushed out of the car. What's the rush, I thought, we have 4 minutes until it starts. Out of nowhere he is next to my door with his hand out.

"Do you need help my lady?" He says with a charming smile. I fell on purpose right into his arms. "I'm so sorry" I said. I really wasn't, it feel so good and right! "You're just lucky I managed to catch you" he laughed. What a gentleman!

We start walking to the auditorium, then I remember I can't go in. My school has a strict rule about musical performance. If you can't make it, you need a parents note or else you get a big fat 0! If I showed my face I'd get into so much trouble! I told Austin to meet me in the bad after the concert. He entered the auditorium and I headed for the back of the stage.

We got there just in time. My principal just walked onto the stage and made a huge speech filled with crap about how we are amazing and every student need music blah blah blah. Finally her big mouth shut and the band began playing. The schedule was band, jazz band, chorus, percussion special, seniors chorus special, marching band.

I peek out of the side curtain to see Austin almost asleep. I almost burst out laughing but I knew someone would notice me. I laugh inside my head and continued listening to the band.

Austin's POV:

THIS IS SO FREAKING BORING! The band doesn't know how to play. I continue to hear wrong notes and squeaks that make my ears deaf. I see Jessica pop her head out of the curtain, only so I could see, and I pretend to fall asleep. I probably could fall asleep. I do, but I'm awoken by this loud blasting sound ringing through the room. Sure enough, the jazz band was up and there was a trumpet solo. He was pretty good actually. That was probably the best part so far. This is going to be a long night.

Jessica's POV:

Jazz band is up and Mike has a trumpet solo! Austin gets to hear him play! Lucky him, Austin got to hear my horrible voice because I'm sick. Hopefully he doesn't think that's my real voice.

Mike was amazing, probably the best part yet, and now the chorus stepped into the stage. Maddie stepped forward. This is gonna be horrible! Wait, why am I excited about that?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Austin's POV:
GROSS! The chorus walks on and some short fat girl steps toward the mic. Okay she wasn't that fat but she wasn't Jessica skinny. Wow, why am I thinking about Jessica? Anyway, the girl had tons of makeup on making her look like a clown. Maybe worse. The music started playing and it was my song. MY SONG! They were singing heart in hand.
"Well let's go back to the day. When I saw your face for the ver-" the girl starts. The crowd starts laughing. I couldn't help myself, I giggled too. She sounded worse than Jessica, and Jessica's sick! Poor girl.
The conductor tried calming down the crowd but no one could stop laughing! The girl ran off the stage crying. I felt bad. Not for the girl, for Jessica. She must have a horrible voice in order for his girl to beat her in a solo contest.
I look at the rest of the chorus waiting for them to move on and see a tall, black haired boy starring at me. He was the jazz trumpet solo dude. He started blushing and gave me a flirtatious wave. WHAT THE HELL! Where's Jessica I'm leaving!
Jessica's POV:
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Maddie sucked badly. Okay that's all I needed to hear. I'm going back to the- My stomach roared! Something slimy crawled up my throat. I was about to throw up. CRAP! I threw up right there behind the curtain, and dashed for the car.
