My life was by far the most uninteresting thing ever. Well I guess that's if you don't include the fact that my father's the sheriff and my best friend Scott and I were always getting in trouble. But besides that it was really uneventful.

I was in this chat group that I joined every night. There wasn't anything interesting that they were talking about either.

Joshieboy123: So how's everyone's day going?

InsomniacKid: Well I heard my dad talking about this new case.

Lovergirl: Stiles your dad always is talking about case.

I ignored her grammatical errors. I knew that she wasn't American and English wasn't her first language. I was actually proud of her for being as fluent as she was at the time being.

InsomniacKid: Well he is the sheriff.

Joshieboy123: Well what's the case about?

InsomniacKid: I'm not really sure yet. I just heard him talking.

Lovergirl: Stiles not know yet. What you waiting for?

I sat there pondering that question. What exactly was I waiting for. There was nothing stopping me at all. I looked at the door, listening for any voices.

InsomniacKid: Well he's not saying anything about it.

Lovergirl: When he do don't forget to tell us.

Joshieboy123: Yes don't forget!

InsomniacKid: Of course I'll keep you guys tuned!

Lovergirl: I'm a girl...

InsomniacKid: I know, it's a saying.

Lovergirl: okay guys :)

I smiled at her. She was just too adorable for her own good.

InsomniacKid: Night

Joshieboy123: Night

Lovergirl: Morning

I logged out of the chat and stared at the screen. What was I going to do? Nothing was coming to the forefront of my mind so I resorted to what I normally did. I thought about being like my dad.

Most people, that just meaning Scott and his mom, thought I was just a wild child always looking for trouble. That is true and untrue. I don't just do stuff for the fun of it. Well not always anyways. I only go out on my dad's cases.

I really wanted him to be here with me. It was always some murder cases that called him out there about every other night. It was enough to have a mother that left but now I had a father that was basically never home. My luck was magical. The only person who was a constant in my life, who was there anytime I called was Scott.

I listened and heard the phone ring. I picked it up quickly, holding my breath so they couldn't hear it.

Dispatch said, "We have a murder investigation. Sheriff Stilinski two joggers found a body in the woods. Police are on the scene at the moment."

My dad responded, "So what's the problem."

Dispatch told him, "Only half of the body was found sir."

"I'm on my way." My father said. I heard the door open and the car crank up. I ran to my window and watched my dad pull off into the night.

I grabbed my phone and quickly called Scott. No response. I dialed again. Still nothing.

"Come on Scott, this is the case of the millennium!" I said softly. I phoned him again, still no response.

"Dammit I'm going to kill him." I growled. I rubbed the peach fuzz that was my hair and grabbed my hoodie and jetted.
