4- pancakes and horns

I woke up feeling slightly dizzy.
To my relief my unbearable headache from yesterday had subsided to little more than a dull ache .
Reluctantly getting up looking in my full length mirror I noted with extreme disappointment that my wings and red eyes were still there and that I wasn't dreaming .
Shit

And that's when I noticed it.
Blood matted the top of my long,glossy,black hair . Two small black horns had come out of my scalp . Automatically I looked up at my ceiling putting my middle finger up , flipping God off.
The twisted bastard was probably laughing .

Looking back in the mirror I saw it wasn't horrendous .
In Fact personally I'd say it made me look attractive if I was going for the whole 'bad girl gothic hells Angel look' which I wasn't but still .
'Get your shit together' I mutter reciting my own personal mantra.

I calm.

Bending down I pick up my ed hardy perfume, folding my wings to do so .
I look in the mirror again .
Huh? My horns are gone.
Experimentally I unfurl my wings . Sure enough the horns reappear.
So every time I have my wings out the horns make an appearance but the red eyes are constantly here . Bloody brilliant .

With my dad being the devil, he has a strong desire to get people the punishment they deserve. I have that same desire. That's mainly why he works on cases with my mum, that and his cool devil powers make it easier to find the bad guys.
Well I ain't going to school today
I think in my head .

I dress in my black skinny jeans and a baggy hoodie which conceals my wings sufficiently. The hood is up. I accidentally throw my bedroom door open with a lot of force an it crashes against the wall .

"Morning " I say
"Hey biatch " maze screams
"Morning honey" my mom smiles
"Yo" my uncle says trying to be cool
"Hey " my dad says teleporting in front of me
I raise an eyebrow
"Anything else happened to you ?" My dad asks concerned
"Yup" I answer nonchalantly heading to the kitchen were pancakes are waiting for me at the breakfast bar .
Everyone follows me.
"Well...what is it ?" My mum asks barging her way to the front
"Just horns " I say shrugging
"WHAT" everyone shouts
I barely stifle my laughter.
I take my hood down . They see the blood but no horns .
"I don't understand there's nothing there..." My mum says
I stand up and spread my wings then point to my head.
"Look again?" I ask smiling.
*************************************Maze comes up behind me and grabs my arm .
"Look gurl I'm looking out for you. I have no idea what you are but I'll find out" she informs me nodding reassuringly.
"Thanks" I respond smiling gratefully
"Chances are you are gonna get some pretty bomb-ass powers soon " she also adds
"I hope so " I add laughing
