It's good to be back! This is for @perrynorine! Sorry it took so long, MORE HOWLLL 😉
Bam is in jail. And Matt is all beat up. That is all that is running through your mind as you walk up to the sheriffs office. Bam is inside those walls somewhere sitting behind iron bars.
(Y/n) pulls the door open and the sheriff stands there drinking a coffee and talking into his phone. He is a big man with a nice, gentle face. His white beard moves while he talks making you smile.
You stand there waiting patiently, pretending not to listen in on his call. He eventually says goodbye and ends the call."Good morning. I think I know who you're here for." You smile and cringe. "Is it that obvious?" He nods his head laughing slightly, "I didn't mean to assume but you walked here, which means you don't have a car. And you have a men's plaid shirt on which is probably Bam's. Also, I saw you come off the Browns boat." He grins sheepishly as you laugh.
He finally turns and grabs his keys off the table, "Follow me ma'am." You both walk down a short hallway that dead ends into a locked door. He puts his code in and the door clicks open to reveal yet another reception area. There is nobody siting at the desk though. The sheriff notices and nods, "A little shorthanded today. So do you know what happened last night then?" Another wave of anger rushes over you.
"I do not but I would like to hear it from the man himself." The sheriff nods and leads you down some steps to the cells. All the cells are empty except for the last two. In one cell is a pretty beat up looking man. In the next is Bam. His head is hanging low as he sits defeated on the bench. His hair is messy and his knuckles are bruised. You suddenly get a sick feeling in your stomach.
The sound of the sheriff walking up makes Bam look up. He isn't surprised to see you but smiles anyway, revealing a split lip. "Hey darling." You try to muster a smile but fail. "Mr. Brown. You owe me an explanation."
You huff and Cross your arms. "Actually ma'am, I'm the one who owes you and him an apology." A rough voice says next to you. You turn to see the second man standing up and facing the three of you. He takes a deep breath and looks dead in your eyes.
"I caused all this and he was just defending his brother. We were at the bar and I was a little too drunk. I got in an argument with his brother and took a swing. I have a problem I know now, but I couldn't stop. Next thing I know, Bam has me pinned to the grind and gave me the beatin' of a lifetime. One I deserved too." You slowly return to your normal stance and the frown is gone from your face.
"You see ma'am, he wasn't drunk or fighting for fun. He was fightin for his brother. And I am sorry." He finishes and sits back down facing the wall.
The sheriff just huffs and opens the cell to let Bam out. Bam walks slowly, almost painfully out. He holds out his arm to you, which you reluctantly take. It doesn't matter what he did, you were still angry.

After getting Bam checked out and paying his fee, you walked with him back to the boat. The family welcomed him and didn't seem to mind what he did. Matt on the other hand seemed not like himself. So, being the curious bastard you are, you ask Bam about it."Bam, what's up with Matt?" His big brown eyes turn to yours and he seems sad. "You promise not to tell him I told?" He looks over your shoulder as you nod. "He's been drinking again. The poor guy can't seem to keep his wits after the girl left him."
You nod, suddenly sad for Matt. He was dating woman who turned out to be nothing but a fake whore. Liking at Matt's face now, you can tell he isn't his usual smiling self. "I hope this isn't a permanent thing." You say hugging Bam for the first time since his arrest.
His chest feels comforting and this causes you to smile as the boat pulls into the bay. Brown town, home, was just a few minutes away. Bam presses a soft kiss to your forehead.

Back home in your shared cabin, you are helping Bam clean his bloodied shirt. Well more like he's watching you try to scrub stains out. "Can you please not stare at me!" You say frustrated. He grins and walks over to you. His hands find their way to your shoulders and he gives you a brief message. The feeling of his hands on you flips a switch from the inside. You attack him with aggressive kisses causing him to fall back on the bed. Breaking the kiss you rip off your shirt. He smiles at you, surprised. "I think someone is a little frustrated." He says chuckling and bringing you back down to indulge in his soft kisses. He leaves little love marks up and down your body that could be seen the next day.
