Chapter Forty Five

'Thank you.' Customer said and Mahia smiled while the customers walked away. It had been four months since Mr Salah went into comma and she moved here. Mrs Pariza ran a small flower shop where Mahia helped Mrs Pariza and now they were just closing down the shop then started walking towards house. They opened the door and entered in the house tiredly. They just had came back from flower shop and it was evening time.

'So tired.' Pariza said and Mahia nodded her head in yes while they smiled and sat down on sofa in silence.

'I am very thankful to you for keeping me here and taking care of me. I am looking for a job at girl school to teach them and I have applied there as well. I have really great grades so there is possibility they will soon call me back. I hope you will let me do it because I really don't want to be burden on you.' Mahia said and Mrs Pariza smiled.

'Well trust me Raina you are not burden on me, you have no idea how happy I am that you are staying with me. I was sick of staying all alone here. But I will still let you do job because I don't want to hurt you self respect.' Mrs Pariza said and Mahia smiled then Mrs Pariza moved and hugged her.

'Okay ladies time up, I think that is enough emotional moment for today.' Someone said and they broke away the hug and they looked at front door where he was standing smiling.

'Harris.' They both said in Union while he walked and sat down on sofa. Harris was only person who visited them one or twice in every week. He worked here and was living in a apartment so he usually came to visit them even Pariza was really comfortable with him now.

'I came to eat. I am really hungry.' Harris said and Pariza stood up while smiling.

'I will go and make food.' Pariza said and walked out

'I will come and help you.' Mahia said and they looked at her while Pariza shook her head in no.

'No need to, you sit with him and I will make it.' Pariza said and walked out leaving them two alone behind while there was silence in the room.

'So How is Uncle?' Harris asked breaking the silence

'Fine, stable but still not moving much. So everything is just fine.

'You are applying for a job at girls school?' Harris asked and she nodded her head in yes  while the silence took place again.

'Is I am doing right?' Mahia asked after a while and he looked at her

'Is my opinion matter to you?' Harris asked and she nodded her head in yes

'Then marry me.' Harris said and Mahia looked at him and there eyes met while Mahia quickly looked away but stayed quite and Harris smiled

'Still the answer is silence.' Harris said but she again stayed silence. Harris sighed then got up then walked and stood in front of her then sat down on floor in front of her when she looked at him. He got hold of her hand then put it on his his rapidly beating heart.

'Then tell my heart to stop beating for you.' Harris said and Mahia looked at him and there eyes met.

'Do you know since when my heart start beating for you when I first time saw you, five year ago.' Harris said and they were looking in each other's eyes.

'At least now stop testing me?' Harris requested.

'Do you how long it's been since Adam left?' Mahia asked while they still were looking in each other's eyes.

'More then five years, but still last thought before I go to sleep is him and first thought when I wake up is still him.' Mahia said and tears started flowing from her eyes and Harris was just still looking at her.
