I read through the last reply and couldn't help but laugh. I looked over to David again and squeezed his hand.
"I remember, it was second grade. That boy, Liam I think was his name, he was making fun of me all the time.
He stuck gum in my hair that day. He pushed me down into the mud and I started to scream and cry.
You ran over and once you found out that he did that you went and beat the living daylights out of him."
I paused and looked to the ceiling.
This was so hard to live with.
"Of course I remember that day, I always will."
I chuckled a little more.
"You know I have to thank that Liam kid, if it wasn't for him I would've never met you."
Then you wouldn't be in the hospital. I thought, I buried those thoughts deep and continued to read.
