I couldn't help myself. I got up with a smile and chuckled walking back to his room.
I remembered all the times we used to sing karaoke together at our movie parties.
*Flashback*
"Give me the mic Hailey!" David screeched out. I laughed and threw it towards him, "Fine."
He started singing Green day.
"Wake me up, when September ends!" We belted together. He wasn't the best singer and he always thought I was good, but at the moment neither one of us cared.
I remember being really tired and falling asleep listening to the song. I remember I felt someone shake me.
They whispered in my ear.
"Wakey Wakey Hailey, it's October 1st officially." I didn't want to get up so I reached my arms up and pulled David down to my side.
We slept like that until the next morning. I woke up with his arms wrapped tight around me. I tried to move them to get up but he only squeezed me tighter. "I'm never letting you go."
*Present*
I sat on the bed next to him and kissed his forehead. "I'm sorry."
