"So he just...asked you out?" JC seemed angry.
"Yeah. I felt kinda bad letting him down," I said, sitting down in the sand.
JC sat down next to me. "I'm glad you did," he said.
"Why?" I looked up at him.
"I don't know.. I just-"
I cut him off by changing the subject. "Wanna go play sand volleyball?"
"Sure!" he said, running over to the court.
We got Kian, Trevor, Ricky, and Connor to play with us. I was on Kian and Connor's team, and JC was on Trevor's, along with Ricky.
"Oh, you're going down, Caylen!" I said as I served the ball. It hit JC in the head, causing him to fall.
"Are you okay???" I ran over to him.
"Yeah, I'm fine, I just..." he trailed off.
"Just what?" I asked, worried.
"I just wanted to tell you that... You suck!" he jumped up, throwing sand in my hair.
"Oh, you'll pay for that, Caylen!" I said, getting up and running after him.
Before I could do anything, he picked me up and started running down the beach to the water.
"No, no, no!" I screamed, as he got closer to the water.
"Yes, yes, yes!" he smiled.
Gosh, that smile is perfect.
"JC, please don't!" I said, laughing.
"JC, please don't!!" he mocked me in a squeaky voice.
Before I could say anything else, he started tickling me.
"JC...please...stop..." I said in between laughs.
"No way," he said. "Your reaction is way too funny."
And that's when I started kicking. I kicked my legs violently, silently thanking my dad for signing me up for karate when I was seven.
"Woah, we're a little violent tonight, aren't we?" JC said, as he finally stopped tickling me.
"A little flirty tonight, aren't we?" I asked, lightly punching him on the arm.
Am I crazy or did he just blush? I decided I was crazy, and stood up.
"Where are you going?" he asked, grabbing my wrist.
"I'm going to get food. It may not seem like it, but girls need to eat, too!" I started walking away, but miserably failed, due to JC holding onto my arm.
"Wanna come to Taco Bell with me and the boys?" he asked.
"REALLY??!?!" I squealed, jumping up and down.
JC raised his eyebrows, questioning me.
"What? You're not the only one who likes Taco Bell." I smirked, skipping away to find the rest of the boys.
Once we were all at Taco Bell, Ricky took out his vlogging camera. "Hey guys, what's up! I'm here at Taco Bell with the guys!" he did a little happy dance.
I loudly cleared my throat.
"OH, right! I'm also here with Sadie, my new bestieee!" he high-fived me, and I stuck my tongue out at him.
He put the camera away as we went up to order. Once we were done ordering and went back to our table, he took it out again.
"So we just went to this beach party, and I met this girl..." he blushed as we all said, "AWWW"
"I got her number, and I asked her to go to the movies with me. SHE SAID YES!" he cheered, and we all clapped.
JC took the camera, and zoomed in on my Typhoon freeze.
"Yum," he whispered.
I took a drink of the delicious frozen drink, and he pointed the camera elsewhere.
After Taco Bell, JC drove me home. I thanked him, and got out of the car. He got out as well, and walked over to me.
"What are you doing?" I asked as he took my hand in his.
"Thanks for tonight, it was fun!" he said, ignoring my question.
Before I even thought about my next move, I hugged him, and whispered, "Anything for you."
As I pulled back, I pecked him on the cheek. His face turned as red as a tomato.
"Well, I'll see you tomorrow?" I asked.
"Of course!" he said, hugging me one last time, and hopping back in his car.
