Bff/n = best friend's name

Keito Asakura was staring out of the car window with her elbow propped up. Biting her lip nervously, she wondered how her life would be like now. She had to move because of her parents' work and was apprehensive about transferring to school in the this time of year. To make matters worse, she had heterochromia. Since young, she had been singled out for her different coloured eyes. One was blue and the other, green. Kids used to pick on her and called her names. Classmates would want to get to know her better because she was "special" and "unique". As for Asakura, she merely wished that she could be seen as a normal human being and be treated fairly just like everyone else. Now that she would be transferring to a new neighborhood, she would most likely have to deal with all the stares and hushed whispers she would be receiving from square one. Sighing, Asakura pulled her hood over her head, covering the silver hair that reached past her shoulders. She missed her best friends, (bff/n) and (bff/n). They were the only two who accepted her with her differences and welcomed her into their hearts. Asakura smiled as she thought about the antics of her friends. They were sweet and funny, and always supported her. Although they would still remain in contact, they were unable to see one another often anymore. And she would have to hang out with her new classmates instead. Would she be able to make new friends at her new school? Time flew by quickly as she pondered these questions. Before she knew it, her father was already pulling into the driveway outside her new house.

Meanwhile, a certain blue-haired teen was looking from the window, watching the family with interest as they unloaded a few boxes from their car. He had seen the girl's father with the movers a few days ago, moving furniture into the house. They were probably his new neighbors. His eyes lit up as he spotted an albino haired girl about the same age as him. As he lived alone, he was looking forward to meeting her. His gaze followed her until she entered her new home. He looked down in disappointment, wondering if he should go over and say hi. He could also help with the moving of boxes. But then again, they might think that he was a nuisance. After pondering for a while, he decided to go over to present them with tea and snacks that he had purchased the other day.
Keito was surprised when she found a guy with huge round glasses standing on the doorstep. He greeted her with a slight bow, passing the small gift to her. She thanked him softly as she tugged at her falling hood. She secretly hoped that her misplaced stray hair would be enough to cover her green eye. Unfortunately the blue haired teen had noticed, his eyes widening in surprise. It quickly changed to amazement, as he complimented her, " Your eyes are really pretty! But it's hard sticking out, isn't it?" He smiled, sympathising with her. Keito was taken aback. It was the first time anyone had ever understood her. Eyes casting down, she gave a meek nod. The boy introduced himself as Oozora Hiro and offered to assist her in the moving of furniture.
A while later they sat down and had tea, exhausted and famished. Keito was gingerly munching on the cookies Hiro brought. "E-excuse me Oozora-san, but where are your parents? " Keito asked. She had observed that his house seemed mostly quiet and was curious about it. Hiro placed his tea cup down as he mustered a small smile. His mother was currently away. Keito apologised for asking, gripping her mug tightly. She immediately changed the question by asking why he chose to wear such big round glasses. She felt that it was very... unique. Hiro shrugged and explained that he liked them. Having said that, he took of his glasses, surprising her. He confessed that he actually had perfect eyesight with a sheepish smile as he rubbed the back of his head. Keito let out a giggle as she teased him. "You really are a weird one, aren't you?"
" You think so?" He chuckled in reply.
That was how they first met.

Time skip...

Keito gripped her hands tightly as she ambled down the hallway of school. She was feeling uneasy by the curious stares of the other students. This always happened, she thought with a sigh. She crossed her fingers in prayer, hoping that school would end earlier. She was looking forward to going over to Hiro 's place. He had many quirky sides to him, all which she deemed interesting. Thinking about him brought a smile to her face.
As soon as the bell rang, signalling the end of the day's lessons, she walked home with a lilt in her steps, eager to see him again. She was so distracted in her thoughts that upon reaching his house, she tripped over the carpet. Hiro who was standing behind the open door immediately rushed to her side and helped her regain balance. Keito blushed a bright red as she mentally chided herself for her clumsiness. The blue haired teen laughed as he commented on how silly she can be. Instinctively, Keito cast her gaze downwards as her cheeks reddened even further out of embarrassment. Hiro merely smiled, calling her name gently. In response, she lifted her head up. Her heterochromia orbs met his red ones, and she felt as if he was looking into the depths of her very soul. His passionate gaze did not falter and he gave her hands a gentle squeeze. "Keito... I know that it's only been a week since we met but for some reason, I really want to protect you. I think... that I have feelings for you. Will you do me the honour of letting me be your knight in shining armor? I want to stay by your side and protect the smile that I cherish so much..." Having said this, he withdrew his hands and stood there, blushing and waiting for her reply.
Keito was dumbstruck. It was only then that she realised the feelings she had for him. Cheeks tainted with a hue of pink, she nodded and confessed to him. Hiro let out a sigh of relief, chest heaving up and down. "I'm so glad..." he smiled.
He then leaned in towards her, closing the gap almost instantly. Caressing her cheek, he slowly pressed his lips against hers...

How was this? Hope you enjoyed it! And Hiro may be a little bit OOC.
