Perhaps as a child you've been told of the Fog Breathers. No? Well this is certainly a predicament.

Long ago human like beings walked the earth, their appelations were Fog Breathers; of leathery skin and mouths that pushed heavy fog into the atmosphere. They were larger than the tallest trees, stronger than any natural force; Fog Breathers, however, were gentle and only served a single purpose.
Days pass by, the entire planet now engulfed in fog; the transcendent malformations return to the darkness, never to be seen again.

Since that day of fog, it has receded into almost nothing. Many have forgotten their very existence, but the story I shared is beyond true.
What? You don't believe me? Keh heh heh...You're just like the rest aren't you? Naive children only focusing on the now, and what is going to happen. You pathetic excuses for humans will surely receive your judgements in due time.
Now bugger off. I'm done with you.

You open your eyes, the light before you nearly blinding. It is almost as if you've slept for days. Your each your hands up to rub the sleep from your slits but the memories of the dream you had just moments ago comes back.
Why did I dream about this? You ask, yawning and straightening your back as you get up. As you get a better look of your surroundings..you're in an unfamiliar place. Standing before you, a bright light shining behind dark rocks as if the light was trying to pry its way through to you.
You feel a rush of unease as you trudge through tall and thick grass. Your eyes start to close, you struggle to keep them open. But you lose this pointless battle and stumble to the ground, going back into an unwanted sleep.

What are you doing here?
I...I do not know.
This place is dangerous you know, full of creatures you should not ever face alone.
But how did I get here? Where is here?
Foolish child...you are-

You jolt back awake, quickly straddling to your feet and dusting yourself off. You mentally punish yourself for falling asleep like that.
Finally, your attention is focused on your current position, now at what looks like a bottom of a cave. The ambient drip of water echoes in the distance and back to your ears.
This place is certainly strange, but if you could find a little light, you'd be able to get a better grip on this situation. You get down on your knees, crawling around the damp cave floor and feelings for any loose materials. After a few moments of meetings rocky walls, you find a large stick with what feels like a grassy tip; perfect for a torch. You stand back up, your trousers now soaked, feeling the walls as you walk for another passageway.
. . .
Nothing turns up. There must be something to use to light this torch. Right as your thoughts silence themselves, you hear heavy footsteps coming from your left.
