I charge a nearby group of about 4 orcs impaling the skull of one of them and breaking the neck of another. One slashes at me catching me in the chest. I kick him away and stab him with my sword, then I flip the sword in my hand and stab the other coming up behind me.

I check their bodies for anything, I manage to find a few different daggers all crudely made, out of what fangs too big for any creature of this region. I take the daggers and hide behind a hut to get a short break.

The break doesn't last too long before I hear the voice of an older man letting out a cry that pierces the sound of fire and explosions. My stomach sinks, I run out from behind the corner hoping for the best.

It was my father. His body laid limp on the ground next to the leader of the orcs. He was impaled by the end of the battle axe the leader wields. Tears, falling to the ground around me. I become filled with rage, I rush towards the leader screaming with rage. I slash at him but he quickly tosses me away with little effort. I fly into a nearby hut demolishing it. I get up bleeding heavily and begin to charge again with the same outcome, over and over.

I can't take it anymore. I fall to the cold ground, wet with the blood of elves and orcs.

I begin to feel warmth in my chest. I come to my vision coming back slowly, a figure comes over me. She has luscious, purple hair, flowing with the slight breeze. Her purple eyes give off a calm and peaceful effect. She is clothed in a robe with gold embroidered on the edges. On her back is a bow, golden and glistening with the light of the fire around us. Her body is thin but not skinny as she is well built.

"Who...?" I groan.

"I can see your heart you desire peace so badly, but in this world that can only come through war. I am Enereous, goddess of Peace, War, and Balance. You wish to finish this battle do you not?" she questions me with her hair hanging over the sides of my face. Her features are very calming and warm, her eyes are striking but they do nothing but give off a peaceful feeling, her face is overall rounded but it is still skinny and firmly so at that. I try to answer her but I only let out a groan my body twitching on the ground, my vision beginning to fade again. I feel a rush of energy go through my body with all of my bleeding stopped. Enereous fades and I stand up picking up my weapon. My eyes begin to radiate a blueish-purple flame. My weapon lights on fire that also being purple. I release a scream that pierces the silence, and the Orc turns to me with surprise. I rush towards him with my sword out in front of me. He swipes but I foresee it and dodge it. My back is warm I think to myself. I run around him and stab my blade through his hand.

He lets out a deafening screech, as his hand begins to spray blood. He again swipes at me and I manage to jump over the axe 2 meters above the ground, which is about the level of his knee. I jump again leaving a deep gash in his head. I glide over to a nearby tree. He thuds to the ground and I know he's dead.

I walk around and see my father lying. bloodied next to the demon. I rush over to him picking him up.

"Son, I need you to listen..." He says his voice raspy.

"Father..." I cry tears falling to the ground.

"Whatever you do always protect those you love, promise me this..."

"I swear it on my life..." I tell him my voice sniffly from crying.

"Also listen, your mother..." He fades off and goes limp.

"Father," I shake him "FATHER!". I fall over his body crying, I stand up. "I will kill whoever did this to you I promise that." I walk over to a nearby tree

I hear something moving near me and position myself to take care of it, an elven girl comes out of some nearby brush.

"Look out" She commands sending out a fireball from a magic staff behind me killing an orc running up behind me.

"Who are you?" I ask enthralled by her beauty. She has long, curly dark brown hair. Her nose is small and her ears... her ears are on top of her head, they're the ears of a cat. The ears are black and she has a tail. Her eyes are brown which is rare, and her skin seems to glow in the firelight. She wears a black hooded cloak and other clothes of one who would work on the farms. Her face is covered in blood and dirt but I can still see her beauty. She stands about 1 and a three fourths meters.

"I am Karou but there is no time for full introductions until we're sure this village is clear." she tells me without so much as an emotion.

"Let's meet back here in an hour" I tell her. She nods and sprints off. I go over and look at the commander orc. I notice something strange, the mark on his hand is sparking. I look at the mark and decide to touch it. There is a bright flash of light and the mark disappears revealing a red skinned Pit fiend. One of his fangs fell out when I sliced his face. I grab it and it seems to pull in this power within the body of the demon. I put it at the end of my swords handle and it fuses itself with the weapon making the blade glow.

I get up and search the rest of the village before going back to the point where we said we'd meet up. Karou arrives shortly after with her staff in hand.

"Anything?" She asks me.

"No, we're all clear." I respond. She sits down next to me.

"I'm Karou, I'm 14 and now I'm an orphan. They were slaughtered in front of me." She looks down depressed at the sight.

"I'm Zinio, I'm 13 and I just watched my father die, but at least he died in battle as he always wanted to. I'm sorry about your parents..."

"They are over there..." she points to two elves on spears and begins crying.

"Listen, we just need to get out of here." I tell her with my hand on hers, attempting to calm her down.

She turns to me and nods.

I walk over to my house and round up Zeno my horse. I get on top of him and help Karou up onto the horse.

"Let's go." I command Zeno choosing not to look back at our village. We are headed towards Espinar the capital of the elves. We gallop through other villages and Karou holds me closely.

"Have you never been on a horse?" I tease.

"No..." She sighs.

People of the other villages stare at us in amazement at our appearances. We completely ignore them and continue to Espinar. We arrive at the gates around midday. The guard asks us our business and we respond giving him our story. He lets us in and we move through the city to the palace. We arrive at the palace about an hour later and we charge in and tell the king about what happened.

"This is grave news indeed. Ready the guard, I must tell them of this. Give them the orders to be on high alert and to search their village for survivors, and let these two reside here until they find homes of their own." He commands, his face dreading what we all knew to come.

My promise to my father will be upheld, that's a guarantee. There is no better way I'd want to honor my father than getting revenge.
