After I checked to see if Angela was breathing I quickly called an ambulance to come pick her up.

Once the ambulance came I quickly gathered up the kids and we headed to the hospital.

I sat in the waiting room for a good two hours before the doctors came and told me what was up.

"She suffered from an Anxiety Attack, do you have any idea what could've triggered this?"

"Well when I first arrived at her house, she came to the door screaming 'Quincy's been shot'"

"May I ask whom this person is?"

"My brother, her fiancé. He's in the military, he's been overseas for about a year now and she's always so worried about him. This has been the first time in months that she's heard anything from the base, they cut off all contact with the soldier's families a few months back. She's been raising their two kids by herself."

"Oh my. Well, sweetheart will be fine. I prescribed her some pills that she needs to take twice a day."

"Can I take her home?"

"Yes. She needs to stay in bed for about a week." Doc said.

"Alright, Doc. Thank you, man."

"No problem, son." He slapped my back gently and walked off.

I got everybody together and we went back to the car.

"Watch your head, Ange." I helped her into the passengers seat, she was doped up on meds and still in shock about Q.

"I-is he okay? Is he alive?" she said quietly as I slid into the car.

"I hope so." I mumbled.

We headed back to her house my head racing and my heart pounding. I pray that my brother is okay, I can't take losing yet another family member.

I got Angela out of the car and took her into the house, her mom was waiting when we got there.

"Anybody call abou-about, Q?" I asked anxiously.

"Yes." She paused. "They said that the bullet he took to his head grazed his brain, but it was nothing too severe. There's a little swelling but it's nothing a few meds won't fix. They'll be sending him home so he can get some rest."

I let out a huge sigh, felt like the world just lifted off of my shoulders.

"Thank God." I sighed. "The kids and I have to run, we'll be back later."

"Alright."

I ran back out to the car and drove off. I looked at my phone and noticed I had three missed calls two from moms and one from Ashanti.

I called Ashanti back. "Hey baby, wassup?"

"Are you okay? I just had this feeling that something wasn't right and it was bugging me" She sounded so worried.

I smiled. She's so damn amazing, how the hell does she do it? "Actually, no I wasn't but I'll explain it later. I wanna see you, where you at?"

"Uh, I'm at my daddy's house."

"I'm coming over, I'll be there in about thirty minutes."

"Alright, baby. Be careful."

"I will. I love you."

"I love you more."

*Ashanti*

"Okay everybody, Chres is on his way! He said he'll be here in thirty minutes! We need to move quickly and get everything done."
