The Republican witches melted and the demons were released from their spell, red eyes returning to normal. They were free at last, free to think for themselves, be at peace.
Freedom. What a lovely word, one those witches hated so terribly. That hatred prompted their treachery in the first place.
Speaking of freedom, it looked like we were free of rain at last. The clouds dissipated, and for the first time in forty days, the sun shone through.
I looked out upon the new world. There's got to be survivors out there. God only knows what exists, or what's extinct. I wonder if I had any family left. I'll keep Alyssa's card until my dying day.
I thank whoever finds this for taking the time to read. Maybe we'll be helping each other rebuild our society very soon. It'll take some time, but once we unite and get things started, it'll be a better world, better than before. And it will be free.Yours truly,
