Simone, a girl who looked, dressed and acted just like a regular grade 10 and 16 year old girl. But on the inside she wasn't and thought she'd never be. You see she suffered from a mind boggling disease called traumatic depression, which in a sense is exactly how it sounds, but it was far more and far worse than that.
Every night and spare moment was Simone's worst nightmare. Whenever she had the moment to just sit there and think was the thing she dreaded the most. What happened was inside Simone's memory was a monstrous beast, that from a very young age she had called Alfred whom was very aggressive and violent. Whenever Simone had the odd moment to think Alfred would attack. He wouldn't do it lightly, he did it in the most brutal way possible, by bringing back the things that Simone just wished she could forget.
Back in 2001 when she was 2, her parents where taking her and her brother Tim, to what was supposed to be a friendly night out at Jamie's Family Diner but ended up in the most upsetting and heartbreaking thing no 2 year old should have to ever experience. Although she didn't quiet understand it at the time, she still is very anxious to drive or be driven in a car by anyone and the fact that it haunts her when she sleeps, thinks or wonders of into space. Alfred send her into her panicky and inflicted self, then ends up on the floor in hysterics crying, screaming, rolling around and twitching in un human ways as she has no control over her own body.
Except this particular day would change her life forever. She Stared out as any normal day, by cleaning her face of any tears or signs that she had been crying the night before. She also went into her brother, Tim's room to tell him he had to get up to get ready for school. Tim was 2 1/2 years younger than Simone and was just halfway through his first year of high school, year 7. The thing that brought Simone to tears was the fact that she was the only one. How does she know this, well her mum took her to the doctor to see what was wrong with her daughter and they said that no one had ever come to them with something as complex and different as this, great.
Tim believes that his big sister will eventually outgrow this disease and be back to normal but he doesn't know how bad his sister had it. He doesn't hear all the screaming at night, he doesn't know that she is constantly crying, rolling around and kicking with no control over her own body. For all he know his sister only really upset about their father's death. Anyway Simone was cleaning her face when she hears her mum scream and the door hitting the concrete as if someone had pulled it off the hinges and chucked it against the cold hard concrete balcony floor. She yells out and her a her brother run out out to the kitchen where they are greeted by a group of men all dressed in the same turquoise colour suit, and there mum passed out on the cold tile floor.
