Gabe's POVThe plane ride was quite pleasant in first class, even though I had to ask the male stewardess to help me get to and from the bathroom which was slightly awkward. But it was also funny watching a semi toned and fit guy, helping me into my wheel chair so that I could get their and then helping me back into my seat. As we landed I swear I heard a sigh of relief from the gentleman that had been helping me this entire trip. I didn't blame him honestly, it would be a pain having to Look after someone for about 20 hours on a plane.
Jay: "GABRIELLE!"
I turned myself around and looked down the terminal and found Jay running down towards but he saw me and started running a little slower. He stopped when he got to me, he looked at me with sadness.
Gabe: "What's up?"
Jay: "Lachlan didn't tell me. Uh, Alex is here as well as Mitch. He told us that we needed two extra people for some reason."
Gabe: "Well hey I'm here. Also the boys seem to have this thing of bringing two people along to have me sit sideways in the back and rest my legs on whoever has to sit in the back."
Jay: "Does it hurt?"
Gabe: "It really does if I go to do something on my own, as soon as I start applying even a tiny bit of weight or pressure to it. It feels like my legs are set on fire, it pierces as well so while its your legs hurting you can feel the pain through your whole body. It sucks because I really want to just walk somewhere but no one will let or help me."
Jay: "How long will you be like this for?"
Gabe: "Hey don't talk like that. The therapist over there said it could be a year till I start walking normally again but you know me. I'm fucking stubborn so I give myself a few months."
Jay: "Your nuts. Anyway you know where your going, head on over through those doors near the station and Lachlan is outside, still have your usual bags with you?"
Gabe: "Yeah but it's fine I can grab them."
Jay: "You can wheel yourself over there and outside to the others, Mitch misses you like crazy man."
Gabe: "That's funny. I didn't think he even liked me."
Jay: "Oh he does don't worry about that."
He turned me around and grabbed the handle bars of my wheel chair and started slowly moving me towards the doors.
Gabe: "Alright I get it fuck. I'll see you soon."
I slowly started to move myself past the baggage claim terminals and headed over to the doors Jay had mentioned. Before I even made it outside I could see the two blondes standing next to Alex. Both Lachlan and Mitch had their backs to me. Alex saw me coming and smiled, his brown hair was all I could see among all the other people. He wasn't quite as tall as Lachlan but he came up to my height... When I was standing up, God damn why does everything make me miss wanting to walk?
Alex: "Gabrielle you could have warned us that you were fucked."
Lachlan: "Hey man?"
Gabe: "Don't you hey man me we need to talk, why didn't you tell them I can't walk?"
Lachlan: "I didn't think it was my place. I thought it would be better for them if they saw you."
Gabe: "Well Jay nearly cried so next time if something major happens can you please let them know, these guys are my best friends, they have the right."
I saw looked over to see Mitch smiling at me, though he seemed really upset as well. He walked up to me and pulled me into his embrace, he might not be on Lachy or Rob levels of great hugs but he tries.
