There was something wrong. Seriously wrong.
Max;he wasn't waking up.
Ok, his wounds were now healed- well, not fully, but they didn't look as painful as before- but he wasn't responding to Nick's calls. Nick shook him. Nothing. He even poured water on him, but nothing happened.
He was going for another pale of water when Agatha opened the door. She walked quickly to him and hugged him.
"I'm so sorry for putting you through all this. I just don't know what to do. " she dropped to the couch and cupped her face in her hands, sighing.
He sat next to her and hugged he. "It's fine. Honest. As long as you'll be ok. Then I'll be ok. " he whispered in her ear, and she totally got a shower of reassurance. You could tell how lost Nick was.... her in his arms.
Then it hit him.
"Wait. There's something wrong with Max. " he said, straightening himself up and taking Agatha to his room. Max was pale and his breathing was... not right.
"He's not waking up. " he said, breaking the silence, " I've tried everything. "
"Same to Clawdene. " she said as she ran her hand over Max's face. Nick scrunched his face a bit, "Clawdene? "
"Yeah... She was beat. And now she also possesses 'the sign'. "
"Where is she? "
"HQ's hospital. "
"Let's take Max there. "
"Good idea. " she nodded and they both chuckled.
"Max? " Nick pointed after some bit of silence. "Ow.. " Agatha hit her head in remembrance.
Few minutes later, they were all at the HQ'S hospital, waiting outside the ward for any news on Max.
