Sunlight beamed and shone against the shimmering dew, whilst heaven bound birds sang trembling choruses to the new sky. A blue butterfly fluttered around the ancient trunks, almost glittering like faerie dust in the early morning light. Along a winding track road, 24 hooves swirled dust as the trotted along, their riders gleeful and unburdened. However, one horse was weighed down by tents and game, whilst her rider was burdened with secrets and sadness.

A soft sigh slipped from the servant's lips, the cracks in them not as predominant; the black bags hung heavily, under those normally twinkling cerulean blue orbs. The flowing red capes in front grew further away, a race taking place between a slightly intoxicated knight with long, dark curls, and a prince with soft, golden spirals who's head was thrown back in free and easy laughter. A flash of molten temporarily restored the mare's strength, as the rider caught up with his companions.

A knight with soft eyes and a loyal heart looked over at the weary man questioningly, the frown on his lips speaking for itself. The youngest just waved him off, dismissing his fatigue and brokenness, in favour of a smile and softly spoken words that reminded the leader of the group of the time, and their ever growing needs - but even he could barely bring himself to spoil the young man's fun.

So with a swift nod, the group was off and one again; Bundled in the road as their eyes began scanning the mossy woods for a suitable place to rest: they imagined a sheltered clearing - preferably one near a bubbling brook for desperately needed water, an open space for sleeping mats and a generous fire pit, with plenty of edible flora and fauna for their meal.

Plans, however, often do not go as intended, particularly when especially needed. And so, the exhausted servant found himself unsurprised to feel a sharp breeze, and watch a feathered arrow whizz past his ear into an English oak tree trunk with a thunk.

Hey dragons!! Okay, I know, I said I'd update this earlier, and I said it'd be longer, but I quite like the short size of these ones... How do you feel about the length?? If I'm honest I forgot that I'd actually began to write this plot bunny but I've remembered now. I'll try and update more regularly but it seems I can't promise anything because I don't write when I'm supposed to... Sorry.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed!!

Love, Itha. Xxx
