The sweet scent of strawberries filled the dampened early morning sky. The dawn was near as the midnight violet sky began to turn a light shade of blue mixed with an orange hue from the awakening sun. Her scent was enough to make my mouth water as it had so many times before.

My thirst for her was unyielding. After years and years, I would gaze upon her beauty with nothing less than love. The cement balcony grazed my finger tips as my fingers danced along its edge. She had been here only hours before; her scent overpowering as I lingered in the spot. Birds began to sing in the distance signaling the new day to arrive.

My hands were filled with her essence. Her beautiful sweet bloody red essence that flowed through every nook and crany of her body. The sweet essence that kept her alive all these years just for me. The same essence smeared across the golden walls of her bedroom. The essence that casually trailed behind her as she neared the balcony on her last breath. My lover's fear still scented the air.

The look of shock on her face was no less than beautiful as the day i picture it. Lovely just lovely. A chuckle escaped my lips as I stared downward into the garden where my beloved laid. The green leaves were coated with sweet morning dew. Her essence soaked the green earth beneath her and enhanced the white daisies she lay in.

Her beautiful mahogany dress flowed about her in the finest of silk. Her sweet pale brown skin cascaded in lace from her elbows to her breasts. Her sweet plump lips tempted me so even as they were parted in the death. Her beautiful silver eyes open and staring blankly into the open night sky. She was my beautiful lover.

Kadmus

Charming. Sympathetic. Innocent. Rage. Lies. Deceit. The qualities of a psychopath every trait the monster has. His eyes are fixed upon me as I lay in the mess he has made. The early morning sky has made its bed with me lying in the middle.

My wound had long since closed and the bleeding had ceased. Now i stare transfixed in the neverending blue sky. My hand twitches as i feel my bones slowly reassemble themselves with my nerves. It hurts. I keep my face emotionless transfixed on everything except him watching from the balcony.

He waits for some sign of life so he can dote over my injuries. "Mommy." A small voice whispers. No. Please do not come near me. I want to say to him. Yet, I can hear the small patter of his feet as he runs to me. "Mommy its time to go inside. Daddy says its time to go to bed." My son's small head perks up as he sits near my head. My eyes follow his hand as he moves a stray hair behind my ear.

His light brown skin warms as the sunlight began to peep through the roof of the mansion. His violet eyes shining with age old innocence. Slowly, I lifted my hand to his head caressing his smooth round cheeks. Blood stained his cheek as my hand continued its descent to his hair.  A sad life we both lead, where it no longer bothers him that i lay here covered in blood. The monster had tainted him to the core with his evil.

"Good job Matthew, now run along to bathe then off to bed with you." The monster whispered. He stood bowing to his father then to me as he ran off into the mansion. I stared upward into the monster's crimson eyes. His long legs bend as he lowers himself closer and closer to the ground. His thin red lips curve into a delicious smile as his hand trails up my arm. A chill runs through my body as my heart begins to beat a steady rhythm.
