Prologue

I closed my eyes shut as I hear the screams of audience. The spotlight is on me, as well as the attention of the crowd.

This is it. I'm debuting...finally.

I moved my body and swayed my hips to the beat of the song, and sang the lyrics. I made my performance lively by showing aegyos and smile.

As I perform wholeheartily, my mind recalled what my father said, "Stop dreaming. Never in your life will you be a singer, or a performer. Your talent is useless, so as you. You should just kill yourself."

I felt tears blurring my vision and my voice cracking, but I just smiled and continued on dancing. Smile, Eunmi. Smile, and everything will be okay.

An applause followed after the last beat passed my ears. Lively cheers filled my ears, and it felt like...heaven.
