Chapter 7 - Confessions

Serena's POV
I wake up. I feel the wind in my face, and I can feel my hair being blown to the side. I think for a second I've been taken until I open my eyes.

I look down to see the red and white color of Latias and I sigh in relief. That is until I try to move my legs. Then I scream in pain. It hurts so bad!

In a few seconds, Latias in on the ground next to Latios and Ash. I can see a lot of worry in his eyes. That's it. I love him.... 100%! He saved me....

"Serena? Are you okay. I heard you scream a couple minutes ago." Ash asks very worriedly.

"Yeah... it's just.... my legs hurt really bad!" I shout as I remain laying on Latias.

"Can I see?" Ash asks.

"You can move it. I assure you nothing is wrong on the outside of my leg." I assure him carefully.

Ash nods and slowly pushes both my legs to one side. It causes me to scream in pain once again. This time it wasn't as bad as when I woke up.

"Whatever he did to you, did something to your legs." Ash says worried.

"Ash. I assure you everything is fine. It doesn't hurt as much...." I say reassuring him.

I sit myself up, and manage to turn my legs without to much pain. I jump off Latias, landing, and gasping in pain. I stumble but Latias uses her wing to catch me.

"Serena, please relax!" Ash shouts as he tries to help me to sit down.

"Ash!" I shout at him. "I'm okay! There's no need to worry." I say grabbing his shoulders.

A small smirk grows on his face. Not evil, just a nice one. I'm starting to get a feeling that Ash actually loves me back! That would be amazing! The boy I fall for actually could love me back.

Pikachu and Sylveon were staring at me and Ash. Sylveon a little mischievously. I narrow my eyes at her, then she simply walks up between me and Ash.

She wraps one of her ribbons around one of my wrists, and wraps another around Ash's wrist.

"Serena?" Ash asks confused. To be honest, I'm actually a little confused myself until I remember reading about Sylveon.

I start to blush lightly. "It just means that Sylveon likes you!" I shout as I lie.

"Your blush tells me otherwise." Ash says smiling.

He then leans down to Sylveon and whispered something to her. I really wonder what it was... it must be something good, because Sylveon cried in glee.

Ash's POV
I lean down towards Sylveon. "Don't worry, Sylveon. I'll take good care of Serena for you." I whisper to her. Sylveon then cries in glee, and let's go of my wrist.

Sylveon dances over to Serena happily. She then dances past her, towards Pikachu, Greninja, and Braixen. Well apparently she's happy I said that. I begin smiling.

"What are you smiling about Ashy.... I MEAN ASH!!!!" Serena yells trying to cover up what she said. I decide to play along.

"Oh nothing much. Just what I told Sylveon." I respond with sarcasm.

"Ash? What did you tell her?" Serena questions. She was standing and walking, so I think her leg is better already.

"Oh nothing. But I do have a question for you." I add with a giant smirk.

"I-Oh! Sure what is it?" Serena asks curiously.

"What's with the new nickname?" I ask casually.

"W-What do you mean!!" She shouts

"Ashy? That's cute." I say while leaning against a tree.

Serena sighs. "I'm sorry." She says as I see Greninja and Braixen come up behind her.

I push myself off the tree because I know what they have planned. This is going to be really fun. In the next second, they both shove Serena, and she stumbles towards me.

I catch her in my arms, and we end up in a hugging position. She seems to be enjoying it, because she hasn't changed her position. I smile.

She pushes herself back to standing on her own, and stares up into my eyes. She quickly glares at the two Pokémon that shoved her, then she looks back at me.

"Ash... I have something to say to you..." she says slowly.

I put a finger to Serena's lips. I shush her. "A-Ash?!" Serena shrieks

"Serena.... say what you have to say, then I'll tell you what I have to." I tell her. She nods slowly.

I can see her face going bright red. It's obvious she has a thing for me. I can tell that one thing.

"A-Ashy... I-I love you!!" Serena yells as she touches my lips with her own. She was kissing me.

She pulls back quickly, with a face that couldn't be any more red. "I-I understand if you don't feel...." She starts.

I interrupt her by bringing my lips to hers. I kiss her back, and I know she's completely and utterly surprised.

"Serena....I love you to! There's nothing that can change that." I tell her.

I can see happiness in her eyes as she kisses me again. Well, I guess this is who I fell in love with.

When she releases the kiss, she puts her head on my shoulder. She continues to hug me, and I continue to hug her. I hear clapping from my left.

I instantly release Serena from my hug, she doing the same. We look over to see the king standing there in a hooded cloak.

"That's a really heartwarming scene." He says maniacally.

"H-How...." Serena says stuttering.

"Oh I'll explain that to you. Right now, I just need the Princess." The King says as he starts laughing evilly. I get in front of Serena protectively.

"Do you really think you can stop me? Oh well." He says as his expression turns serious.

He turns to nothing but a shadow and fly's behind me. I turn my head to see him turn to a solid figure again and rush at Serena. 

I quickly grab her hand, but the King easily pulls her away from me. I turn my entire body around, as all our Pokémon come up and surround him.

"Goodbye Ash." The King says as he smirks again.

"Help me..." Serena says quietly.

No sooner had she said that, The King had teleported off somehow....With Serena....

I drop to my knee's and start pounding the ground, as tears start flowing from my eyes. He couldn't believe it... he just let The King take Serena from him....
