We all have that one thing that keeps us going. As a kid you wanted to be a superhero or a princess, but as years past by your imagination began to fade and the closest you could get to being a superhero is through the military. The closest you could get to a princess was through fame, but soon that dream begins to fade and you start thinking about being a doctor or a lawyer.Something easy to achieve, but what if you stuck to that childhood dream and it comes true? In our minds we are secretly afraid of wasting our time on those "silly" dreams. Look at me for an example I'm just a teenage girl wanting to be a writer. This web page is the closest I'll ever get to exposure. For many people a dream is just a dream, but for people who put their dreams into action like actors or musicians are the people who still have that bit of imagination. "What is the key to success?" We ask our selves. The answer you'll probably get is practice. Practice.Practice.Practice. Again this is why people are secretly afraid of going for their dreams. You might let down your family for trying and failing. If you succeed, well if you suceed you get satisfaction.
The satisfaction of your dream is probably the most wonderful thing you could feel. If you dream big, satisfaction is big, but if you dream small there is not going to be much satsifaction. For example which would satisfy you the most a job working as a doctor or a job working as a movie star or astronaut. Today we think all those celebrities are just lucky people with a whole lot of money, but think some of them may have went through trying and failing, but there still standing? How? Because they have resilience and that bit of imagination. Ask your self this, are you happy with your life now and what did you want to be when you were a child? Are you what you wanted?(Don't think, its impossible to be a superhero.) It isn't. A soldier is a superhero isn't it and the guy who created touch screen cell phones was probably called crazy. You are only as satisfied as you want to be. Yeah I'm just a teenage girl wanting to be a writer, hell I want to be a pro basketball player and I'm up every day practicing and working out. If I never get it I will be satisfied because of all the hard work I put it, but I will be a writer or a basketball player.
I never said it just took imagination. It takes work and if you really want that dream you should be working your ass off every day trying to achieve it. I think that people decide to give up because of others as well. When I go to school every day the halls are flooded with road blocks. People discourage each other on a daily bases. Why don't we encourage? Jealousy. Jealousy is for people who are to lazy to achieve a goal, so they knock other people down who are not. I watched a kid's dream change in front of my eyes, from a athelete to a doctor. Which do you think he really wanted? Everyone knocks each other down without realizing it. Truth is we never stop dreaming, we just choose to ignore them.
