Chapter 7

Skylers POV

I hopped on my horse and started to run off........)

As I was running off I heard mason yell as loud as he could  " I will say it again and again because it's true Skyler! I don't like her I like you!!!!!!" And those words made me stop my horse and freeze right there. I turned her around and trotted back to him. I was just passing a tree when a wolf jumped in front of Sunny. She spooked and stopped very suddenly turned round and sprinted off. I tried to hold on but I just couldn't I fell off and screamed as loud as I could Hoping that Mason would here. I hit my head on a rock but It wasn't enough to make me black out but I started to see spots. I saw the wolf come running and backed u against a tree. Once it saw me it started to slowly walk towards me with its teeth bared. That was when Sunny burst out of the trees and reared up above the wolf. She came back down on it and knowing it couldn't take her on ran away. I got up and walked over to my horse. She snorted and nudged me with her nose. I hugged her neck and hopped on her back. I can not believe Mason didn't even try to help me or come running after me i thought as we went back the way we came. Mason was still there kicking a tree and cursing himself out. He didn't know we were there yet so  we just stood watching. " If only she knew...If only she knew." He said sadly and kicked another tree. We stepped out to were I was behind him and asked "If only I knew what?". He whirled around looked at me then walked up to us. " I tried to tell you but you didn't listen you just ran off. Is that what you do with all of your problems huh?" he asked.  I replied back " well I guess when you said you liked me not her must not be to much then huh. I guess I was right I think I'll just go now being as you don't care to much right. WOW. that's all I can say an I actually thought there was gonna be a chance this time!" With that being said I looked over to him and saw his face drop and go pale realizing what he had just said. "Look i'm-" he started but I cut him off  " Save it I've heard enough." I snarled. And with all that I galloped away on Sunny. 

I got back to the stables about 10 minutes later. I dismounted and hooked up Sunny to the cross ties. By then almost everyone was there and had there horses filled in the stalls. They are probably all in the dorms situating their stuff. I grabbed Sunny of of the hook by her stall, took of her bridle and slipped in her halter. I brushed her down really quickly so that I wouldn't be here when Mason got back. I got done 5 minutes later and put her in her stall. I gave her another flake of hay and refilled her water trough and started to walk to the dorms. I went up the stairs and up to the room 3B. I could see light coming from the room and I went in. Sitting on the other bed I didn't pick was  a girl that looked to be about my age with long blond hair and deep brown eyes. She looked up when I walked in and said " Hi my names Ashley you must be Skyler?". " Yup" I said popping the p "is it okay that I have this bed or do like that one."I asked. "Oh no I love this one is it okay with you?" She said. "Of course" I replied " hey uh do ride or are you here for something else?". She nodded her head and said " Yeah I ride here are you new cause I am". I  looked like I was thinking and then replied " yeah". I checked the time on my watch and saw that is was time for dinner in the cafeteria. Wow have I been out that long I thought. I was suddenly pulled from my thoughts by a knock on the door. I went over to answer it and saw that it was the dorm monitor. "Um It's time for dinner if you guys would like to go" she said cheerily. "Uh do you want to go Ashley i'm not so hungry" I asked. "Yeah sorry to leave yah but I am starving!" she replied sleepily. "Yeah it's alright I think i'm just gonna go to bed" I told her and then she left.

Ashley's POV

I had just gotten back from dinner when I heard some singing coming from the bathroom. i walked up to the door and heard the water running. She was just starting  a new song do i got my guitar and played along with her. She stopped for a second realizing I was there but then kept going. She was singing Enjoy the ride by Krewella my favorite song.

We were born ready, ready to be free

Chasing every thrill we could could see.

With our eyes steady, waking to the dream

Aching to be thrown in the ring.

If nothing is easy as long as we're breathing

We'll go all the way or go home.

We were born ready wherever it leads

What we have is all we need
