Chen - At the beach

This is dedicated to my best friend, Natasha, because Chen is her bias :-D

You always wondered why Jongdae was still your best friend when you had the deepest feelings towards him. You loved everything about him. You love it especially when you two could spend the day together. But what are the chances of your best friend liking you back in that like-like way?

You sighed while you thought of that while you were getting ready to go for a swim with Jongdae at the beach, your favourite place to be with him. Jongdae was already waiting for you outside the changing rooms.

"Gosh, Nat! Are you like freaking ready already? I wanna swim already! It's so hot!" Jongdae whined like a little kid.

"Yeah, yeah Jongdae. I'm out, I'm out!" You shouted while stumbling out of the cubicle. Jongdae's eyes widen as you saw you in your new bikini (I'm sorry Nut. I had too! HAHAHA)

*OMG. She looks hot in that. CRAP. Kim Jongdae WTF?! You're not supposed to think of her like that! She's just your best friend, nothing more.* Jongdae mentally slapped himself before he realised your hands waving in front of him.

"Hey, can we go now? What's wrong with you?"

"Oh-oh, nothing nothing. L-let's go."

You smiled broadly as your grabbed your best friend's hand and dragged him to the sand. You put your stuff down on the soft white sand and shook off your slippers. Before you could turn around to head for the sea, you felt a pair of strong arms lift you off you off the ground. You screamed loudly but soon recognised the muscular arms that belonged to your best friend.

"YAH! KIM JONGDAE PUT ME DOWN NOW!" you yelled as you began slapping his back which your face was currently facing.

"If you insist.."

You didn't have the moment to figure out what he meant, until you found yourself shivering and tasting salty water. The water was especially cold because you were shocked that Jongdae suddenly dropped you in the sea. You were gonna get him for it. You could see him rolling in the sand, tears starting to form in his eyes from laughing too hard. He was grabbing his stomach and kicking his feet up and down. You took him  by the ankles and pulled him hard into the water and started splashing water on him before he had time to react. You ran away, knowing that he would come after you.

However, despite the head start, Jongdae was too fast and caught up with you and back hugged you. Your heart immediately began pounding vigorously at Jongdae's action. You felt the heat rushing to your cheeks as they turned a bright shade of pink. You've always felt your heart thump when you were alone with Jongdae but never much like this before. You felt the warmth of his body against yours and the feeling of being extremely comfortable. You tried releasing yourself from his arms as you were frigging embarrassed but part of you told you not to try too.

"Natasha-ya, don't go yet. Let's stay like this for a while." A smile crept up to your lips upon hearing those words. Before giving you the chance to say anything, Jongdae pressed his soft lips against your cheek. You turned to face him.

"J-j-jongdae? You saw his face fully flushed crimson although his head was facing downwards.

"Listen, Natasha. I really like you, not just as a best friend, but well you know. I have liked you ever since you became my friend and even more once you became my best friend. I felt sad when I thought you only regard me as a best friend, and now I want to change that status. I hope this won't ruin our friendship even if you don't accept my confession, but will you be my girlfriend? If you don't want to, at least we'll still be ---" you cut Jongdae off by flinging your arms around his neck and crashing your lips onto his. He was in shock at first, but soon began to kiss back.

You pulled away then said, "Does that answer your question?" You gave him the sweetest smile you have ever given him and in return, he gave you the most charming one you have ever seen. He grabbed both sides of your waist and your feet left the ground as he spun you around. When he put you down, he placed a soft and gentle kiss on your forehead and whispered a "thank you" in your ear.
