The pain in her leg would be the end of her. Her wounds haven't been able to properly heal but despite the pain she continued to endure the throbbing pain that was her leg.
All on her own.
Separated from her crew.
Time became relevant. She couldn't tell how long she been locked up and frankly she didn't care anymore.
Food was brought to her once a day which was enough to get her by. But not enough to help her recover her strength because she was more of a useless doll in the arena. Her stamina and strength was low so she couldn't move or attack as fast. She was often thrown around the arena multiple times before figuring out a way to win.
A painful win but a win no less.
Her victims went from elderly, young men and women. She didn't have to fight children which brought some relief yet worry.
She didn't want to be here yet here.
Faith is a cruel thing. Merciless and ruthless but not without its moments of hope.
*****Flashback*****
Days Ago......"Get her out"
"Another fight?" Allison asked slowly getting up. She faced three viking men and one of them open the door.
"Quiet" one of the men growled. Allison just watch as they put her in chains and walked her out towards the streets of the village.
She walked with the vikings surrounding her. Not allowing her any room to escape her chains.
Children, men and women stepped aside as she came. Fear in their eyes.
Allison bit her lips. The fear that saw in their eyes were the same she saw years ago on the island where she meet Axel.
Allison tired to think much about it but Axel's departure really left her on the edge. Part of her couldn't help but feel that it was partly her fault. Axel left because he probably thought he was becoming a burdened on her. It was her fault for not drilling that idea out of his head. Axel was the best first mate she ever had.
He was the only firstmate he ever had.
'May it time for me to search for a new firstmate' Allison thoughts were interrupted as they approach all large structure made out of stone that really didn't blend in with environment of the vikings.
They lead her inside towards a stone throne where a thin yet tall man sat and a girl standing by his side Allison stood before him and forced to kneel.
"Just how did you learn to use an ax" Henk spoke as he dismissed the guards.
"I used to own a sword and it's not so different from a ax" Allison responded.
Henk raised a brow as he continued on. "It takes more that."
"Why did you bring me here?"
Henk signaled one of the men beside him. The man nodded and existed the room.
"I am here to make you an offer. Allison was it?"
Allison frowned. "What offer.?"
"It quiet simple."
The doors open interrupting Henk as Maeve walked in the the man from a few moments ago.
