The next morning i woke up late again and rushed to get to work on time. Right as i had walked in the station i got a report of a body found in the park, having no time to get the file i rushed back to my car and followed Tom to the scene.

As we arrived i noticed that my sisters car was parked in the parks parking area. With a look of confusion I followed behind Tom towards the body that was covered with a white sheet.

"Sanders...I don't think you want to look at this one." The chief said as i walked over to the body. "What do you mean?" I ask lifting the sheet up. I covered my mouth with my hand and dropped the sheet. "No...When did this happen?" I ask looking back at the chief. With a sigh he looked at the file. "From what it says they think it happened sometime yesterday around five. Im sorry Jessica." He said placing a hand on my shoulder as i stood up. "May i take the day off?" He nodded and i walk to my car my face blank of any emotion as i drove towards downtown.

With out hesitation i beat rapidly on the front door and waited for it to open "You did this!" I yelled as my father opened the door. "Jessica? W-what are you talking about?" Anger clear on my face i yelled, "Im talking about Jane! She's dead!" My fathers face fell as the words sunk in. "S-she can't be...i called her...she should have been at home." He said as he placed a hand on his forehead terror in hie eyes. "Well apparently she didn't get the call because she was found at the park."  I glared at him, "I don't want you at the funeral. So don't bother going because i don't want to see you." I say walking back to my car.

The funeral was a week later and many of mine and Jane' old friends showed up along with some of the people I knew from the station. I was seated in the front, i was wearing a black dress Jane hand gotten me a few years ago. Tom walked over to me and sat down placing a hand over mine. "How are you doing, I mean with all of this?" I glanced up at him before turning back to the closed casket in front of me. "I've been better, but surprisingly i doing early good considering everything that has happened." Tom smiled at me slightly as the preacher took to the stand to begin the service.

The service was almost over when the door opened and in walked none other than my father. As i watched him walk in i felt my heartbeat pick up and red spots start to form in my vision. "Hey are you alright?" Tom asked in a hush voice, as soon as i heard his voice my vision cleared and my heartbeat went back to normal. "Yeah, I'm fine."

Once the funeral had ended i hurried out towards where my father stood alone. "I thought i told you not to come?" I wished at him, "Look Jessica, i wasn't about to miss one of my daughters funerals just because you didn't want to see me." I could see red spots start to come back and i clenched my teeth. "You will regret showing you face here...trust me when i say that this won't be the only funeral you attend." I started to walk away, "Yours is next." I hissed out as i continued  my angry talkback to my car.

I took a deep breath once i had reached my car and sat there until the parking lot emptied, then i started my car and started towards my apartment. My vision had finally started to clear and soon my mind cleared too and i felt a single tear run down my cheek. I rubbed my cheek viciously easing any evidence of crying.

As i reached my home more tears had fallen down and i made no move to wipe them away. Getting out of the car i locked the door before walking into my apartment and walking to the kitchen. "Lets see what we have to eat." I said to myself as i opened the fridge and pulled out bread, turkey, ham, cheese, and mayo. I pulled out a small plate and fixed the sandwich before putting everything back and taking the plate to my room.

Sitting the plate on my desk i opened the file and took a bite of my sandwich as i continued to study over the victims.

Once finished with  my sandwich i closed the file and pulled back my sheets and climb into bed, before shutting off my lamp and falling into a deep sleep.

Jack had finally stopped crying, it had been a good three hours since his daughters funeral and he had finally started to calm down when there was a knock on his door.  Getting up off the couch he made his way over to the door opening it slowly. With a look of confusion he opened the door further, "What are you doing here so late?" Jack stepped back so the person could walk in. "Look I'm sorry if i had made you upset today at the funeral, but she was my daughter, i had to go." Jack said shutting the door and dialing 911 on the phone that was hidden in his pocket. Slowly the person turned around a knife in their hand, "Wait what is that for?" Jacks eyes widened in horror, "Jessica..."
